    Hi Bill,

    Thanks for the post.

We only offer the 48 in 8 degrees of bounce with the F grind. This is a full sole grind that really benefits players on full shots, which is primarily what the 48 is used for.

I would suggest trying the wedge first to see how it performs for you.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

A month ago I decided that I needed to swap out a 49 *AW that came with the set of irons that I have. I bought a 48* that was on sale to see if it would work for me. I had a 30-day window to return it if needed. Last week I swapped it out for a SM5 48* 8.

My oh my! What a great wedge. I played yesterday and used it on full shots and long chips. The F grind is a little narrower then the sole on the AW that came with my set. I'm able to pinch the ball better and the feel is just awesome.

You will not be disappointed with the F grind. BTW, just ordered a SM5 56* 10 M grind!

I love my Vokey SM4 48*.  It is my go to club around the 100 yard marker.

  6. Just bought my 48 today with a 8 bounce which that's the only way they make that wedge ......I also bought a titliest 56degree with a 10bounce with a M grind love that one too

You can also get a wedge bent to fit your game.  I prefer my wedges to have less bounce than they come stock so I always buy them with 2 degrees greater than I want them to play and then have them bent up to get to the loft I want with less bounce.  Get fit and find what works for you!

I have the SM4 48-06 wedge. I have no issues as to hitting it myself on most surfaces but if the ground is a little soft, it'll definitely leave a large divot. I realize the SM5 is a 08 bounce but I just cant see replacing it just for a few cases of soft ground. Absolutely a great club...

I have the SM4 48.10 and I love it.  Even though I'm a "sweeper," I like the little extra bounce.  It gives me a little more confidence to go at it hard without worrying about chunking it.

  10. I notice that the 48 degree SM7 wedge is only available in the F grind with 10 degrees of bounce. Is there a reason for this?

My existing 52 degree SM7 wedge (also F grind) is only 8 degrees of bounce, so it seems strange for the bounce to be higher on a lower lofted club. Any ideas?
