Downloaded Shot Vision today and it’s not to shabby. Used with home made set up that looks like this. Couple of misreads, but for a free app using your phone’s Microphone and Camera not bad results. Spin rate might be a little high. May even pay for the month as for just under £7 may give the gap testing and Targets a go whilst on lockdown.

Will try log on PC to see if you can edit out the misreads as when you pick it up it tends to give an extra read.

    hi Ian

I have just given this a go. Numbers seem a bit hi with an avg carry of 172 on my 7 iron and 230 from my 4 iron. Distance I wish I had unless the speed training is paying off!

is not a bad app for 7 day free trial whilst we are free!

Thanks for the recommendation and if anyone else has anything please share!

    Thanks, Stephen

Thought that myself to start then moved it to exactly 4ft behind and 1 ft towards target and got a better read.

I have downloaded it also and it seems pretty accurate as long as you position it correctly. I cannot practice at the moment as I knackered my leg skiing but my son has used it and compared it to some Mevo data he has on his phone. The numbers are very comparable to be honest.

We also had an issue viewing session data as the app would crash but I contacted the developer who replied instantly with an update.

Tried it with a little gap testing today.

    Got some interesting figures.

The data seems to be all over the shop for spin rates, launch angle etc, think it’s not bad for distance though.

The simple equation it must use for sound of the strike then flash of the ball past the lenses of the camera seems to get the distance not to far off.

The fact it’s only using the sound of the strike and the ball passing the camera at over 100mph you can understand where the data can be compromised.

Again for free or £7 for a month unlocking other features compared to £1000s for a pro set up or even £100s for a G80 or similar, it’s not too bad.

Will try again tomorrow off the mat not the artificial grass I have laid on top of it.

    Stay Safe Everyone.

    Ian
