Tour Validation has started with the new CB, MB and AP2 irons and I'm interested in everyone's thoughts, just based on the picture.

From the picture (sorry about the quality) the AP2 appears very similar from the last model, the MB looks even cleaner if that's possible and the CB looks more like an AP2.

I bought the 718CB's a couple of weeks ago and I'm glad I did, they have the classic CB look which hasn't changed much over the years but the performance has improved. The new CB looks too fussy for me and more like an extension to the AP line but that could be deliberate.

    Thoughts?

Sorry my mistake the middle iron in the picture is a T100 not an AP2 so could be a completely new model or just a name change!

Liking the look of the CB's, thought previous models looked cheap so may invest but will need to see how they look when holding them in the flesh.

You are right guys. The T100 will replace the AP2. No word yet on the naming convention of the other irons but some are guessing the AP1 will be T200 and the AP3 will be T300. I am sure we will see more posts from Titleist on the subject in the coming weeks.

Dale - I think you could be right. Moving away from the AP to T which sort of goes in line with the TS series Drivers and fairways.
Each to their own but I prefer the 718 CB to this new model but am sure others will disagree.

I love the look of the CB and T100.

Looking forward to having a swing with them to be honest tho I do wonder what the price point will be.

Every year hardware seems to be more and more expensive to the general public I wonder if Titleist have taken this into consideration with the price point?

Please don’t get me wrong I would pay for the right set up just if we are trying to win over new golfers to the game at some point this may need addressing.

To the point though they all look amazing to the eye.

I see the inflation of golf club prices across the entire marketplace, not with one specific manufacturer. I don't believe there is any collusion in pricing that is creating higher profits. My take is that material costs and labor are rising and cutting edge technology/manufacturing is getting more expensive which then get passed on to the consumer. There will be those golf companies who's strategy will be to fill the lower price market but their products will be made of cheaper materials and lower manufacturing and quality processes. I can't see Titleist ever wanting to revert to that model.

The MBs look amazing, I only wish I could hit them.

As usual Titleist have delivered quality looking equipment
  9. The price of clubs is and always has been a subject of debate
I justify paying the price by passing down my used sets to my son or colleagues at work
They benefit and I don't feel as guilty buying new
I hope Titleist keep to their strategy of producing top quality and most of the Brand Ambassadors on this site will pay as long as we get perceived value for money
Keep up the good work Titleist!

    Mallow,

I guess by now everyone has seen the new look T range of irons,
From first glance they look really great.
Side view looks impressive and hoping the top down view is just as good.

  12. T100’s look ok, however I think the 718 Ap2’s look better. The T200 and 300 look to gimmicky, not a look I would have expected from Titleist.

Just seen pictures of the T200 and T300 (T400's on the way) OH DEAR !!

I know you don't look at the back of the head when you're swinging but you have to look at them in the bag.

I'll be sticking with my 716's until 2021 at least...

    What do you think?

  14. I like the T100, could live with the T200 but I need to read about what is going on with the T300
The T200 and T300 look more like a TM release but I have an open mind so will explore all the new irons

I'd suggest going on the golfwrx forums to see some better photos of the irons. Love the look of the MBs, CBs and T100. Not sure on the rest...

Saw a lot of AP2’s in the flesh at Hunstanton and they did look good . Would love to give current and the soon to be released new range a go (I’m probably better suited to AP3 but with driver fitting thought I’d be TS2 and ended up TS3).... the new models look good again but finance wise it’s more like 2020 for me, albeit if I hit them and stats showed improvement v my current irons ........

The MB's always deliver on looks for me but unfortunately my game is not in a position to play them!
I actually like the appearance of the CB and may well give them a try in Autumn when they're released, although my 718AP2's will only be 1 year old then.
I am very interested in the new driving irons too, nicely give them a whirl, possibly it's a graphite offering too!

do you think it will be an autumn release date for these ?

    cheers
  21. Actually like the t100 look more than the 200 or 300 but will be interesting to see which ones I hit better when they come out as I'm looking for some new irons soon, tbh it I hit the 300 better then that's all the overly matters as you don't see the back when you're hitting them (just when admiring them at home)
