I have always used the Footjoy SciFlex glove and I am down to my last two. The SciFlex is not available anymore and i need to purchase gloves for the coming year. Being left handed I have always stocked up at the beginning of the year because selection of gloves for left handed golfer is hit and miss. I have used the Titleist players glove on occasion but I tend to go through them very fast, I have a stong right hand grip. I preferred the Sciflex because of its soft feel from the Cabretta leather and the fact it is more durable that other premium gloves. I golf 2/3 times a week and normally get over a month out of a glove before I swap it out. I have it narrowed it down to the Footjoy ProFLX,Titleist Players Flex or Titleist Perma-soft gloves. Any recommendations?

    Thanks.

I'm using the Perma-soft, nice feel and so far so good for wear .. unless it rains and I go to the Weather soft. .

Try the Footjoy CabrettaSof, I tend to use the Titleist Players for competition, but agree they don't last so long.
I've used the FJ CabrettaSof for general play and find they wear really well, shop around and you can pick them up on three for two deals.

The ProFLX replaced the SciFlex in the FootJoy line. I'd recommend giving those a try if the SciFlex was previously your glove of choice.

This may be a strange recommendation for most of you, but I've been using" Bionic Men's PerformanceGrip". This glove give a really good feel when holding the glove and the way the glove fits the hand and has slits cut into it around finger joints really allows you to get a feel of the club. I've tried lots of different glove and manufacturers but this is by far the most comfortable glove I have found. The all weather glove has been very good in the clod and wet weather and I would recommend Bionic and their range of gloves for all levels of golfers and all ages.

Maybe not what you expected but There you go. GOOD LUCK

Bionic gloves aren’t technically legal for tournament play...they are seen as an aid and should only be used with a medical note.

I’m a cabrettasof type player...soft cabretta leather is always a winner

I went through 4 permasoft Titleist gloves last season, granted I've always been heavy on gloves but I though that was pretty poor, got another 3 brand new ones for starting this season so we'll see how they go.
  8. Titleist Perma Soft are my current glove of choice.
As the name implies, they're soft yet reasonably durable.
I used to have an issue with Titleist gloves in that they crossed the heel of my hand rather than the wrist but the either the gloves have been re-designed or I've shrunk... Anyway, they now a great fit for me and not the most expensive on the rack!

Footjoy proflx is a fantastic glove,
I’ve been using it for a season now.
I can’t fault it in anyway.
I’ve just bought 3 more for the start of this years season.

I know they’re a bit more expensive but the FJ Pure Touch gloves are a delight to use. On a multibuy you can get them for around £16 each & I find them well worth it. To be fair, until very recently I had an interlocking grip and would wear the palm and forefinger out quite quickly but since reading Ben H’s fantastic book I’ve switched to the Vardon and not worn one out yet. Oh, and the hcap’s gone from 18 to 13 too - thanks Ben, you wise b@gger!
  12. Footjoy GTExtreme are without a doubt the most durable glove out there.

Always use them through harsh winter and range sessions.

When the summer comes it has to be the pure touch. Like silk!!!!
  13. It depends on what you prefer in terms of your glove, the players flex is a more durable/thicker glove but the feel may be reduced compared to the players glove. I tend to have 2 or 3 gloves in my bag that I switch between every round as I find the wear is less noticeable.

FootJoy apparently make some gloves but I couldn't possibly comment on that.....

I like the Footjoy WeatherSof Glove.
Comfortable, good feel, don't wear as quick as others I've tried and a reasonable price.

I also prefer FJ Weather Sof. Great feel and long lasting.

I also use the Footjoy WeatherSof. It seems to do the job, is reasonably hard wearing and isn’t too expensive.
