I will be volunteering next week at the US Open on the Evacuation Committee. Has anyone play Eagle Ridge in Gilroy? Like Yes or No? How about Delveaga in Santa Cruz? If you had to choose which one? I am also playing Pacific Grove for the views (since I will not be able to play Pebble next week).

    Thanks!

Eagle Ridge use to be nice, not sure now. It is a challenging course. If you want a nice course in the bay area go to Wente Vineyards although it's about 2 hours from Pebble depending where you are staying. Delaveaga is a fun track and Pacific Grove (aka poor man's pebble) is also fun!

Sounds like you are in for a great week. Besides Pacific Grove (best bargain in CA) the course I would try to get on that week would be Pasatiempo near Santa Cruz (unless you have played it before). Alister MacKenzie track where he actually lived late in life. Was said to be the course Bobby Jones saw when he changed his mind and gave Augusta National to Alister instead of Donold Ross.I have't played it yet but we are planning a Monterey trip next year around hitting it and probably Bayonet and Black Horse.

Eagle Ridge used to be really nice but one of my friends told me that it's in poor shape and the bunkers are horrible without any sand. As Dale mentioned Pasatiempo would be the track to play. If you need any suggestions for food, etc. let me know as my wife and I spend a lot on time on the Monterey Peninsula.

We ended up playing Seascape, Pacific Grove, San Juan Oaks and Coyote Creek. Ate at Tommy Woks in Carmel and Peppers in Pacific Grove. Loved it all!
