Actually the course was just a small 9-hole (I think) and possibly had an Irish sounding name. I was only in Lexington a short period of time and just happened to find this course on the road I was on.

When I stopped at a mall to do some quick shopping, several of the clerks commented on my "accent"...I'm most commonly mistaken for a Canadian, but a few were right on when they guessed Minnesota...of course I thought they were the ones who had the great accent! :-)

As much as I hate the Yankees, I feel obligated to help a fellow Titleist fan. Titleist offers MLB hats as well. They're awesome, and they allow me to support two of my favorite things at once! I own several Titleist lids with big beautiful B's on the side, or a fresh pair of Red Sox embroidered on them. I even found one Titleist/ Sox hat with a magnetic Sox ball marker. They're perfect for summer, and hopefully fall.

Pick one up, you won't be disappointed

That's a great collection of titleist hats, I also have a problem with collecting these items. I only wear Titleist hats with the exception of a New York Yankee hat during the season. I only wear the sport mesh fitted with pro v 1 on the side. I have black, white, tan, navy, and yellow. I also have the t-tech hat in white and blue. I wonder if the course you bought your hat in Lexington is my home course. I play at the University Club but just to let you know its not royal blue, its Wildcat blue. :)

Are you sure about the KU logo?! If I had to bet you'd be more likely in Lexington to find a UK hat in "Kentucky" blue than a KU, which is Kansas. [/quote]

Scott, you are absolutely right! It was UK not KU...whoops. One of my lasting memories of my first trip to KY was that everywhere I went there were whole stores dedicated just for UK items...they love their college. BTW, my favorite course played while in KY was Mineral Mound in Mineral Mound state park...lovely in October.

Forgot to add in my earlier post that I really like the new winter hat (black with red trim). I wish you had it in multiple colors - gray or white. I've seen some of those colors on the Euro Tour TV coverage, but haven't seen them in any US retailers.

I have about a dozen. Generally I have to buy 2 so that my son and I can wear matching hats (he'll soon require that we DON'T match but for now I'm going with it).

Right now my favorite color is steel grey with blue trim (it's the one I have on in the video under blog). I'm sitting at my desk with it on now. In the summer I wear a lot of white hats. Over Christmas I wore either green or red.

I have so many Titleist hats and visors, but my favorite, by far, is the fitted Sports Mesh Structured style. That is a great hat. I hope Titleist keeps it in the rotation for many years. If it is discontinued, I need to know so I can purchase a few back-ups :)

On a side note, I wish Titleist would go back to the older model of the Tour low profile visors. They seem to be more rigid or stiff in the crown (don't know if that is the correct word for a visor).

I have two of the mesh stretch fit Titleist hats, one Black and one Khaki, gave a Red one to my brother cause he liked it, and I have a beige Titleist bucket hat for when it is real sunny. Like the Titleist collegiate hats, but the white stitching on a red hat for OU colors has kept me from purchasing. If they come out with a solid color collegiate stretch fit cap, I will get a few of them, so I can always sport a fresh on on the links.

Oh wow, I hope you all have time.

1. My original Titleist hat is a blue fitted hat (unstructured) with white Titleist script. It's more purple now from all the sun fading. I wash it so it doesn't get too funky. I've had it for over a decade, and I will wear it till it disintegrates.

2. I have an orange hat with white writing that has since 1932 etched into the side.

3. I have a green hat with white writing

4. I have a white with black writing tour visor

5. black fleece winter hat with and white script.

6. Two Boston Red Sox Titleist hats both blue with white script (one with a ball marker)

7. Scotty Cameron Ivory 7 point crown

8. SC Black 7 point crown

9. SC Blue Scotty Dog

10. SC White 7 point crown with leaves

11. SC White with tiny red 7 point crown

12. A purple with white script.

I guess it's not that bad. My Fiance also gives me guff about bringing home new Titleist hats, but then I just open her shoe closet. Enough said.

My top three are:

1. Black with a black and gold US Army logo on the side.

2. White Vokey hat with the spin mill saw on the front.

3. Navy Blue Cameron Hat with white threads.

My wife just laughs any time I come home with a new hat, I had to do some cleaning out of the hat rack a few weeks ago. It was so hard to get rid of my old hats even though they were sweat stained, beat up and I hadn't worn them in over a year. Silly I know but I really didn't want to get rid of them.

My favorite is my white with a small patch logo on the front that reads "Titleist, Golf's symbol of excellence". I've had it for a couple years now and it looks like some of the "pre-worn" ones you can buy new now. Also have a couple of Bama hats, one white and one maroon and also a green with blue/white lettering one that has the FJ logo on the side. None of these three fit as well or are as easy to wear with anything as the white one. Also have a fleece winter hat.

I love Titleist hats I have many and I am a fan of the fitted hat.

my top3:

1. white/black mesh fitted(got for fathers day)

2. black&gold w/ Pittsburgh Pirates logo (don't laugh)

3. lt.blue/red/ white mesh fitted

I have many others but those are my "go to" hats

I have three and love them:

1) The white hat/black lettered fitted mesh with Pro V1 and FJ on each side

2) The navy hat/white lettered garment washed

3) The new white fitted/black lettered vokey hat from vokey.com!! (Christmas present this year!!)

I have several Titleist hats as well, but my favorite has to be my Navy Blue hat with white lettering. The New York Yankees logo is also embroidered on the side! Just in case, I also have a khaki color hat with blue lettering - also with the great Yankees logo on the side!

I have many Titleist and FJ hats as well. I like my colors, but, my favorite has to be my white/black mesh fitted. It just seems to go with everything.

It's funny that you mention, that, when you see someone else wearing a Titleist hat, that you smile, etc.. I do the same thing. Do you notice that when you're at a store or wherever, and you see another person wearing a golf hat, that we just "stare" at eachother, haha. It's like, "So, you're a golfer too, eh?".

Funniest thing ever...this past Summer, I was at the club hitting balls. As always, I have a Titleist hat on. This father and his 2 little boys are watching me. I'm getting ready to swing when all of a sudden, this little boy runs up to me and ask, "Are you a pro golfer?", I say, "Working on it", and smile at him. A few seconds past, and he says, "Are you sure...because your hat says PRO V1". All I could do was laugh. I told him that was the kind of golf balls I use. The kind that the name on the front of my hat makes. Then I took him over to my bag and showed him my Titleist goodies. Even gave him a couple of Pro V1's!

Way to many to list. My current gamer is an OU Sooners logo Titleist hat. White front and maroon sides and back.

Also bought the same hat with OSU Cowboys logo.
