  1. How much time do you spend on the range warming up before a round?

Long enough that I fell warmed up and seeing that the golf gods are giving me for the day.. More about stretching for me!

15-20 balls is usually all I need to see what kind of day it will be.
  4. I need to start swinging and getting warm before the first tee. Most times we go straight out after a bit of putting.

    Not Good!

Small bucket, usually warm up hitting a nine iron and a 19* hybrid which I will be teeing off with on the first hole. On occasion will hit a sand wedge, then off to the putting green. Mainly about tempo, alignment, and feel. Normally takes about fifteen to twenty minutes. Usually play 18 three to four days a week.

I try to get to the range an hour before my round. I’ll hit with my 7 till I feel loose and then move around the bag till I feel good and then I hit the putting green.

All depends. If I have been playing the last few days and it's hot, I don't bother. Just stretch out a bit and a few putts and chips. If I haven't played in a while or working on something specific, i will get there early and hit a few balls to loosen up and see what my shots look like that day. Heavy range work on the days when I am not on the course. I am a firm believer in focusing on playing/scoring on the course and technique at the range. Works best for me not to mix the two. Occasional after-the-round range work on the same day.

Dynamic stretching for me to help with herniated disc trouble then hit 15-20 balls

Long enough to stretch out my rhomboid muscle. Start w/ 100 yard 7 irons shots after some specific stretches and then move to full 7, then to full 5 iron, then a 9 or PW and then hit my driver and woods and I'm ready to go. No more than about 10ish tee shots, only about 5 shots w/ everything else other than 7 iron.

I hit a small basket, about 20-25. Just enough to get fully loose.
  12. I’d say 5-10 balls per club. I typically use a PW or 9i, 7i, 4i, 4 hybrid, 3 wood, driver

Some days as few as 5-10 7 irons, other days up to 100 shots through the entire day.

Try to hit only a few short irons, wedges, and maybe 3 long iron or hybrid to get loose. Most time I spend is chipping and putting.

when i have the luxury to hit before playing, i'll hit a few wedge shots, 2-3 7 iron shots and probably 4 drives to see what the ball wants to do that day.

It all depends on how much time I have, also if the course has a range or just a putting green.
Wit my bad back mostly I keep my warm up to 15 to 20 minutes, or a small bucket of balls. and a few minutes of putting, just to get a read of green speeds and my stroke that day.

I try to end whatever pre-round warm up I do with driver swings so when I get to the first tee, everything is fresh, with tempo dialed in. I START my pre-round work on the practice green, which makes the most sense to me. I then warm-up with my Orange Whip before hitting a few full wedge shots. (I do yoga stretches at home just prior to heading to the course.) Then chips and pitches. Then three or four 9 irons to targets, a few hybrids and finally four or five (or more if necessary) drivers, before heading off to the first tee.
  19. I get the most out of warm up with about 25-30 shots. Any more than that I start to focus on mechanics and take it on the course (big mistake). I’ll start at the putting green first - seems to help me with tempo. Hit a few chips, then stretch. Then the range - break shots into groups of 5. 5 shots at 75 yards, 5 at 100, 5 at 125. Then 10 shots moving between driver (2-3 max), hybrid (2-3 max) and log irons (2-3 max). Then a few more putts and go. Total time is about 30 min.

Generally 30 minutes on the range and 15-20 minutes putting/chipping green.

At the range, it's more to loosen up and work on tempo and solid ball striking.
