    Happy Holidays, Team Titleist!

It's hard to believe, but this week we'll be hitting our very last shots of the 2018 golf season. It was a memorable year for our community, and we certainly had a great deal to be thankful for. (Click here to check out Abby's recent post that includes some of our favorite memories from the past season.)

But as 2018 winds down, it's also a great time to look ahead, with a new season on the horizon and plenty of new hills left to climb. So we'd like to hear from all of you and learn about your goals and plans for the New Year. Vote for one of the options in the quick poll below and add a comment to share what you'll be doing to make this season even better than the last.

Break 90 80% of the rounds I play. Last year I reached 76% over 184 rounds. My best year ever was 78%.

Hey Rick! My goal is to take golf lessons this year so I have some good drills and practice material to work on throughout the year ... as well as, of course, to play more golf!

    Cheers,

I need to accept the fact i'm gonna have good days and bad days. So whatever happens I just need to have a better attitude and less whining and b****in..

So my goal this year is just to have more fun, smile and just go with the flow or else i'll be playing solo a lot.

Best of luck to all in 2019! Cheers
  9. Speedy, I was the same for a long time. Once I corrected my attitude, my scores really started getting better. Good luck with the Anger Demons.

My #1 goal for this upcoming season is to beat my personal lowest score. With that in mind though, I also want to put more of an emphasis on enjoying the game for what it is and not getting so consumed with the results.

  12. Invest more time into fitness and flexibility; pay more attention to warming-up before a round.
  13. Military
Hit the nail on the head! Need more of both in my golf game!

Great post Rick. I really would like to vote for all of the above. All great choices. I really can't spend any more time at my course between working 60 hrs a week during the season and golfing as well. But wouldn't have it any other way!! Hoping 2019 brings all the TT family health, and happiness!! And to the TT staff, thanks so much for a terrific year. You guys are simply the best!
    Play Well,

Keep trying to regain some more of the skills I lost a year ago when I got some really awful advice from an eye "Doctor" and lost most of the sight in my left eye.

Hi Rick - I’m hoping to play more golf this coming year. And a hopeful benefit of that would be improving my game. I just didn’t play enough last year to sustain any progress I was making.

Best wishes to you and your family for a healthy and happy New Year! Looking forward to teeing it up with you again.

My goal? Host the best-ever Team Titleist outing at Ballyhack.

Stay on site, incredible golf course, fast and firm playing conditions, easy Mid-Atlantic location.

Mine is three fold. Play more, lower handicap and beat my lowest score
  22. My goal it to become a more consistent player. I always have some great rounds and some rounds were I feel like a can’t get anything going. I’d like to get ride of those awful rounds and shoot good scores on a regular basis

2018 was a fun year for me playing 16 rounds in Georgia while there on business, but a terrible scoring year. I went from a 16 hdcp up to a 20 hdcp. I had tough time off the tee box with accuracy and consistent swings. I could hit a bad drive to the right, then hit a bad shot to the left, I could draw my first 2 drives and draw them then never hit a draw the rest of the round. Iron play was great, short game was solid as well.

So in 2019 I plan on focusing on a better routine & address process so I can hit a more consistent shot even if it is off line. I should be able to hit a bad shot every time with the same swing and make the proper adjustment to correct it. 2018 was not that year...

1st - Lower my index by practicing and playing more. 2nd - Go on a cool golf trip.
  25. Like all good things, comes in threes...
    1) Savor the moment - Focus on the good and enjoy the ride
    2) Improve scoring - Increase consistency and accuracy with 2nd/approach shots
    3) Lights out - Improve skill and confidence with putting
...this will be the year to break 80.
