As I sit here watching our second blizzard (10+ inches) in 3 days, I was lucky enough to get 2 rounds in with my new collection of TSR 23 hybrid and 20/18 fairways in December. They filled the gaps from my T350 6 iron. Need more time with the 18, but 23/20 are already worth every penny. Now if I can get outdoors before SD on March 15.

Converted to the new TSR1 fairway 18* adjusted to a 17* and two two TSR1 hybrids 20* and 23*. Turned in my 816 and 818 hybrid and my five iron. They are great clubs when I hit them solid. But issue as we continue with my physical therapy seems to be balance. That is the next step in my sessions. I have done everything to strengthen my back with core exercises and it seems solid but still not striking the ball solid and with consistency. We started with balance exercises this week and found there is a major issue and that is our focus at this time. Hopefully by improving my balance we can development a more consistent swing and hit the new wonderful, beautiful clubs. Would love to get back down in the 80s on a consistent basis or maybe even shoot my age this year. Have a whole hear to find out. Titleist fairways and hybrids in the bag and ready to go.

I personally grew up and have played fairway woods all my life. I tried hybrids but they just look and feel off when I hit one. Good post.

I recently got rid of my 818 h1 19 degree hybrid, and I replaced it with a 16.5Ts2 wood to help off the tee. Best decision ever. My next club down is a 818 23hy, bit of a gap between clubs but I can usually sweet that to 200 yards. And a little confidence with the 16.5 when my driver is misbehaving goes a long way.

Nice. I just bought the TSR2 4H a week ago and love it. Was your 24 degree Hydbrid as easy to hit as your 21 degree? I tried the TSR2 3 wood today at both 15 and 16.5 degrees and only hit them 5 yards further than my 4H. I was curious what your experience has been with your hybrids. Thanks

Having the options from 5 wood to driving iron is the best. But I struggle from day to day with the 200 yd *** and which to go with. I am still as consistent with t100s 3 iron as any but need something out of rough. The search is fun

I do the same thing. I switch between my hybrid and 5 wood depending on the course I’m playing.

I was fitted for TSR2 18 and 21 to replace a 3 hybrid and 4 iron. I find the fairway metals to be more consistent and less prone to the left miss than the hybrid. Since getting the T150s, I do swap in the 4 iron depending on the course.

I use both the 5W and hybrids 21 degree and 24 degree. I just received my new TSI3 driver, 3w, hybrids and T150 irons. The TSI3 hybrids are so solid and playing with the adjustments helps to increase launch. I find the hybrids spin nicely and really dig into the greens. Much easier to hit than 3, 4 and 5 irons for me at 61 years old. Beautiful clubs.

I play TSi2 16.5° and 21° for the past several years and love the ease to launch the ball. For me, they are easier to hit than hybrids and have a better descent angle.

I have better success out of the rough with a hybrid than any FW club. This to me, makes the hybrids more versatile. Its gotta be personal preference for sure. You gotta make sure whats in your bag is set up for you to be successful.

Much like you said, whatever handicap someone is it comes down to preference and what you need this tool to do. From my experience, I have played a U500 2 iron the last couple years and have loved it. It does exactly what I needed it to do. Go higher then a standard CB 2 iron, but be very penetrating, plus filling that 235ish number. However, I started to play in more tournaments where I needed a club with a steeper decent angle for long par 3’s. Went into a fitting thinking it would be between a 505 or TSR hybrid. We ended up going with a 7wood because where the hybrid and utility irons offered me that height, the spin was too low. 21° TSR2 gave me the stopping power I needed with a more forgiving package. I have also found that the 7 wood is more versatile for me because I’m not having to force it up into the air. It has allowed me to hit more shots I need to be competitive and ultimately play better golf.

It's all preference really. The hybrid's seem "hot" to me, or I swing them incredibly smooth, I need the consistency of the irons. It all depends on the gaps you have, and your maximum yardage you can reach. 200 is my stock 4-iron, 230 is my 3 hybrid, 250 my strong 4-wood TSR2 16.5. Same with wedges and bounce, you have to find your preference.

I replaced my 5 wood a few years back for a hybrid. Here recently I have thought about putting a 5 wood back in the bag but haven’t made the switch yet. I upgraded to the TSR3 hybrid several months ago and really like it but I’m still thinking of maybe adding a TSR 5 wood just because I love my 3 wood so much.

I was just fitted and went with 2023 Titleist T100 5-PW with a TSR2 7 Wood to replace my 4 iron. Honestly, the most fun club to hit!

In that we can carry fourteen clubs in our bag, it is about finding the right choice that fits our game. Finding the one that helps us score or at least puts us in position to score. Good course management and club selection is helps. Not all of us play the same game. I play in a senior men's league and one of the fellows who is in his eighties hits his four hybrid 90% of the time. Have even seen him putt with it. Drives me nuts, but his choice, his game and he scores with it and seems to be in the money a lot when he plays. One of the other guys asked him one day why he did not use his other clubs and his response was WHY? Good response. You know the old saying, it is not the arrow, it's the Indian. =)

I thought the same thing until I tried the TSr2 26 hybrid, its is such a confidence booster to my game. I highly recommend looking into it.

I recently switched from a 5 wood to a TSi2 Hybrid and absolutely love it. For me it's so much more consistent and controllable then the 5 wood was. For me it just seems like a personal preference more then which one is better then the other.

I actually went to a 9 wood in addition to my 7 and 5. I just can’t get the ball flight with a 4 or even 5 iron in some cases. The 9 wood flies high, great out of the rough, and stops quick on the greens. Super easy to hit. Age does a lot of funny things to you! I never would have thought about having a 9 wood for Pete’s sake!
