    Hello TT-

I am looking for your thoughts, input and advice on if you have used either system. Did you like using them?

Every year I tell myself that I'm going to get better. This year I want to know what areas that need the most attention and focus.

    Thank you for your help.

  2. I've been using Arccos for a few years now and it really helps my game. The personalized strokes gained showed me exactly where I need to improve and I've seen my handicap drop because of it. Also, got the Link belt clip over the summer so no more phone in my pocket. The caddy advise is also super helpful when I play a new course. Overall, would definitely recommend.

    Matt-

Thank you for sharing your experience with Arccos. The stroked gained information is what peaked my interest the most.

Were you surprised what the data revealed about what you needed to work on?

Have you had any issues with the belt clip?

    Hi Rob,

I've been using the Arccos system for a little over a year and it has definitely shined a light on some areas that need improvement. My driving distance was one that surprised me and how many strokes per round I was loosing by playing safe and short.

As far as the belt clip, I have it and have found it to miss more shots than just using the phone in my pocket. I'm at a point where I don't use it, its just not worth the hassle of having to through the post round app and add a bunch of shots. With the phone I might miss one or two per round. The belt clip was missing a bunch of putts and approach shots.

I have both the Arccos and Shot Scope V3. For me, I prefer the Shot Scope V3. I like the fact that you don't need to carry a phone or a device (other than the wrist watch) in order for the system to work. In terms of visuals, I believe Arccos looks better on the phone and is a tad easier to use. As for data (which to me is the most important), Shot Scope does an excellent job registering your swings throughout a round and the data points it gathers are very helpful. Shot Scope recently added the Strokes Gained average and they seem to continue to improve the UI and firmware.

That is interesting about the missed shots with the belt clip.

Thanks JDobkin and Abdon for your input of good information.

The weather is still up and down here in Chicago, so that gives me a couple of weeks to make a decision.

    Have a good weekend.

You're welcome...glad to help a fellow Team Titleist member when I can. Another thing I forgot to mention which you may already know if you are doing research between the two products, in the long run, it will be less costly having the ShotScope V3 vs the Arccos. I was an early adopter of Arccos and in those days, it was not a subscription service. Since then, Arccos moved to a subscription service in order to gain access to the data. I understand there is a cost involved with maintaining all that information, I was just disappointed how it switched. In addition, the Arccos tags eventually run out of batteries which will require purchasing replacements.
  8. Just got all of my arccos sensors installed and linked. First round will be today. Excited to see how they perform and the insight they provide
  9. I've used the ShotScope for some time now. The biggest reason I went with it was the fact that I got it for $130 direct from ShotScope, instead of paying about $200 at a big box store.

That said, so far I have loved it! I considered Arccos, GameGolf, and ShotScope, but decided on the ShotScope for 3 reasons. (1) Price; (2) small tags; and (3) no subscription fee. That said, I would be willing to pay a small subscription fee for the smart caddie feature. But, being in Wisconsin, the $120 annual fee would be closer to $20-$30 per month of actual use, so I decided it wasn't the best choice for me.

The stats from the ShotScope are helpful and have worked really well to let me know what I need to improve on! Also, they now have strokes gained, so that is a non-issue between Arccos and ShotScope at this point!

They also have some pretty sweet new products that I'm itching to try out (namely the rangefinders, found here: shotscope.rfrl.co/8wvw6)!

Here are a couple links in case you're interested in checking them out!

Been using Arccos for the last for the last two years. User interface to me is a buy purchase point. I have never had an issue with the systems aside from me just over reviewing my stats. Customer service is always quick to response. I was about to ditch the system for a GPS watch but now they fully released the apple watch interface and it has been a game changer. Shotscope to me is still cheaper but you get what you pay for with Arccos.

I used Arccos for three seasons back in 2016 to 2018, really great bit of kit.
It was addictive looking at your phone check up on stats for each club and going over all your scores.
The only down side was having to manually enter penalty shots lol
I swapped these with my mate for a bushnell rangefinder v4 slope thingy, again very good bit of kit, the only downside was getting correct yardages on hilly golf course was a pain in the butt lol
I’m back on the hunt for another one it’s most likely be the Arccos or skycaddie 550 for me. ️‍♂️
  12. I tried Arccos for several months using their trial, love it, compared to manual tracking using V1 Game, Arccos with my AppleWatch works like a charm, it lets me know how bad or good I am playing as a beginner. But the subscription fee for me base in Asia, it is expensive, I rather play a few more rounds with the fee. Would love to try ShotScope since it is without the subscription fee.

I have been using Shot Scope V2 since Sep19 and upgraded to v3 in 2021. Main reason for the upgrade was battery life as v2 lasted only 18 holes where as the v3 can do 36 holes easily.
I did get to try the Arccos system but I was not a fan from the outset. To work necessitated you to have your phone in your front pocket – for someone who played golf to get away from IT, this was a major issue as was the draining of the battery meant when I got to the club house, I was lucky if I had enough battery to quickly check messages.
I still use the Shot Scope and discuss the results with my teaching pro to work on areas to improve my game and have never had any issues with the system.

I’m going on a year with Arccos and so far I’m happy with it. Bought the belt clip and it does miss some shots but I just cross reference it with the score card. With that said the abundance of information will help you improve all the areas of your game that need attention.
