    Although I find myself to be in the top percentile of Short Game players, I find that I hit the embarrassing Shank (you know the dreaded hosel rocket) more often than most anyone out there have any good tips? Figured it might be time to ask someone else after breaking 2 ornaments on the Christmas tree this year while practicing inside from the Ole Shank-a-roo

    The obvious one is are you standing too close to the ball? The other that gets me sometimes is being over the top.

    Pleaseeeeeeeee go see a professional. Numerous things could be wrong with your swing/stance. Hard to advise without seeing you swing and I am not an trained professional who can help you.... ONLY advise that will help you safe those ornaments and increase your proficiency. With respect.

    Chuck gives the best advice, see a PGA professional. It can be a number of reasons why you are shanking. They can look and figure it out for you...we have all been there!!
