I am sure that there are a number of PGA certified teaching pros assigned to local courses in your area. I do not live in in Illinois, but I would recommend calling some of the top courses in your area to check on teachers, the rates and if they have a package. Check to see if the courses has a master instructor on staff and how many years experience the teacher has. We have one at our local municipal course and he is very knowledgeable and does not try to change you, but work with you skills. Of course all instructors differ. A lot of young pros working in the shops give lessons. Me, I want an experienced teacher. Ask about their teaching styles. Cheers.

I live in chicago and go to cog hill for lessons by lee miller. He is very good and keeps things simple!

Golf Digest just had their top teachers from every state publication, you can access it online at Golfdigest.com or if you know of someone who has a copy of the magazine. Just seen it the 26th of this month.

So that I can use the same teacher as my fitter and one that will fit Titleist clubs, you can go to fittings - clubs on this website, select filters for launch monitor, outdoor ball fittings, and club fittings, and for example Chicago has many choices. I'm not a fan of indoor lessons on mats. Ball striking and launch angles are not the same on turf. From there, it is worth interviewing the pro - it's your money, own it. I went through 3 teachers in a year until my last one that I've used since 2012.
