Pelz, Sorenstam, Haney, and Harmon all have 1 or more schools as well. One the golf magazines lists the annual "Top 100 Instructors" and many will also offer a more local approach as a substitute to an academy. "Best" is highly subjective. Personally, I prefer working with someone locally that I have developed a good connection with so I can quickly go back if something goes wrong and I don't know why.

I agree with Don O. I work with someone local who I can go back to plus I have been going to him for so long now, he knows my swing pretty well. If your dead set on a golf school, make sure the teacher student ratio is not crazy. Good luck!!

I agree! A good relationship with a PGA Instructor that you have good rapport with in learning what that instructor is trying to change in your swing. Plus the ability to do what they want you to do without hesitation. You will improve so much faster than hitting balls on the range.

I have to agree with Don. For the couple of grand that you're going to spend for a week, you can put a heck of a program together locally and it would be private instruction, including a playing lesson. The thing is getting a pro that you feel comfortable working with.
