Just wondering if there is any set procedure on when to clean/dry the weights in the 917s. Do we just let it go after cleaning (not soaking the head underwater). Just scrubbing with plastic brush after a round or use right now. Wiping it dry with a soft cloth.

There will be some moisture I think. Little WD-40 inside and at the hosel?

    What do you all do???

I let it go after cleaning. I never remove the weights unless necessary (making a change).

I have never worried about the weights on mine and have yet to see any problems develop.

Tightened to the correct torque should prevent moisture from leaking in. Short of soaking the head under water. I had occasion last evening to adjust the weight on a D2, It's been over a year since it was opened and the weight was clean and dry. I use a wet cloth after almost every round.

I agree with the others. I have never had a problem with mine. I also wipe and scrub it clean after every round.
  6. No issues leaving the weights in. Now, if I've played on a very wet course as happens sometimes in Houston after a torrential downpour, I'll take the weights out because of a "fear" (rational or not) that some water may seep in through the threads. Never hurts to be careful.
