Anyone using one of these yet, I'd be interested on learning your feedback if you are, currently using a Players 4 which apart from the strap setup and the wear showing in the hip pad area I'm very happy with, I see the carbon has now gone for what appears to be a better double strap, wondering if the is this the path all new Titleist bags will go and the double/single strap setup on their existing range has come in for a fair bit of criticism?

I have been using it for about six or seven weeks now. No problems so far with the strap system. First round they felt almost a bit stiff, but they started to ease up after this. I really like the bag if you are after something minimalist and don't mind just carrying the essentials.

I have ordered one with the Team Titleist logo so it will take a couple of extra weeks to get done. Expecting it by the end of this month. Hearing nothing but good things and it should fit my needs very well. I have a couple of the past Players 4 and a first-generation 4UP StaDry bag. I like to walk and only carry 12 or 13 clubs with minimal extras in the pockets so this should be just right for me. The occasional cold or rainy day might limit the amount of extra stuff I can bring along but that's not very often, being home based in San Diego. I look forward to the carbon legs the most. I have had a couple of bag legs messed up by the airlines so it will be helpful to know these won't get bent. I am also interested in watching how well the color holds up to fading in the sun. That has always been a bit problematic with the other bags and the Carbon will introduce a new rip-stop nylon that hasn't been used before. My hope is that it holds color even better than the previous materials. I will try and post a review in a couple of months on how well it is doing and how I am liking it.

Hi Dale. Thank you for the info. Have you had any issues with the strap? I heard they just changed the design.

I would like to buy a carry bag and keep my midsize staff bag for cart and trolley days.

    Looking forward to your review.

Been using mine since it was released can't fault the bag. So light and fits everything I need. The straps are definitely an upgrade also u won't be disappointed

It’s here. Just transferred the clubs over and will take it out for a spin this evening and again Sunday afternoon. I really like the drink holder moved away from the side pocket and the diameter does not seem way tighter than the last Players 4 bag. More pictures will be on the Facebook site if you want to see things like the new style rain hood. Cheers.

  8. Hi Dale

Just wondering how you've got on the with carbon bag?

Is there much difference between it and the standard players 4? Apart from the stronger material and carbon legs?

    Best wishes

I have only taken it out once so far and we played in carts so didn't get to walk very far, just from my house to the clubhouse. My real test will be back-to-back days walking next weekend, Pasatiempo and Pacific Grove. While it is about 1 1/2 pounds lighter than my Players 4, by the time you fill it with clubs, balls, and other stuff it is not a significantly noticeable change. Straps are a bit different without the cross-configuration but feel about the same on the shoulders. Slightly smaller diameter but I only carry 12 clubs so I still can maneuver them around okay. I definitely prefer the water bottle pocket with less interference to the small side pocket. Large clothing pocket is about the same as the StaDry 4UP which can get a bit tight if you add rain gear and a warm pullover but that isn't very often for me. Overall, I am very pleased and do not anticipate any issues.
  10. Great to hear Dale

I'm leaning towards going for the carbon simply because it seems to be harder wearing than the standard players 4!

  11. how do you get a bag with the Team Titleist logo??

    Fantastic looking set-up Dale!!!
  13. I’ve had the bags couple weeks. Waited an extra 6 weeks or so for the personalization. The PGA professional logo on the apparel pocket looks great and does my name on it. Been using a hoofer lite or moon lite for walking and this has replaced it for the first walk, png bags usually have the best straps and this one beats them. Walk every Sunday with and and have really enjoyed this bag.. no issues and a huge upgrade for Titleist stand bags. Highly recommend!!

  14. Bit the bullet and went for the carbon. Arrived yesterday and clubs in. So light and easy to use. Cant wait to get it on the course!
  15. The legs look like they don't have a wide footprint. They are just straight rods from those pics. Won't they run the risk of sinking into damn / muddy ground?

I play in the UK so the ground won't necessarily be firm!

We have a company in the US called "Gatorfeet" that has rubber replacement pads for golf legs. Nice add if you can find a way to get them over there.

Thanks Dale V. I ordered a set of the Gatorfeet and must say I’m happy with my purchase, Seem to all aloe of grip to the legs. If only they actually looked like little gator feet :)
  18. Does this bag handle oversized grips well? My 4UP StaDry did not and it was really frustrating. Also the legs on that bag were not that great. It did not handle weight well and eventually broke. Thanks everyone for your input!

I would say pretty much identical to the 4UP in diameter so if you had issues with grips on it, you probably will again on the Carbon. I have both but use standard size grips and usually only carry 12 clubs.

Has anyone bought the Players 4 Carbon Stand Bag in other colours rather than black, or black & red. The first two colour options are no longer available. For the first time in my life, I am considering getting a different colour. Any suggestions?

Sometimes the color options will temporarily show unavailable in stock but can still be ordered. Thats what happened with mine. I wanted to get the TT logo embroidered on the bag anyway so I just had my pro shop order it and waited for the color backlog to again be available. It was also during COVID slow down so factor that in. Ordered the bag in May and got it late July. If you want other colors, options are easily seen on the drop-down listing under "bags" at the top of the Titleist website.
  22. i have the black/red but would be interested in seeing more photos of the grey/black or navy

great bag... my only gripe is with the water bottle location.

I wish it had another small pocket above the ball chute for tees, ball markers, etc..

Just added the “gator feet” which should help playing the sandy terrain at Sand Valley and Bandon. Perfect fit.

Good tip (pun intended) - now have gatorfeet on order for whichever bag makes it to Sand Valley. Carbon-4 O/O but it will be close to be here in time.
  27. Been playing the Carbon (Black) bag for a couple of months now. It is a terrific product with superior build and lightness that contributes to easy mobility. I carry fourteen clubs, which includes a Scotty H9 with a medium Matador grip. Altogether it is a snug fit, but worth the that trade-off. Dale, thanks for the lead on the Gator Feet, I ordered two sets last night.

    Everyone stay safe!
  28. So here's a strange question for all the Carbon Bag users. What kind of water bottle are you using ?? I cannot find any that slip in and out of the small water bottle pocket easily. I tried a thin yeti style, a regular water bottle and finally a sports water bottle from Fuji. None of them are the perfect size to slip in and out of the mesh pocket !! Help.......

I am using an RTIC 20oz water bottle. It’s a bit snug but does fit on my bag. Pretty tight getting it into the opening so it’s not an easy slide in with one hand. I do have to work with it a bit. Normal clear small plastic water bottles fit best.

  30. I bought my bag in March and am really happy with how light it is. Makes a huge difference.
However, either I bought a faulty one or the bag is not meant to be left standing on its legs for too long. It would seem as though my bag likes to do ‘the splits’ when left on its legs for too long.
Perhaps the gator feet might help, but I think the problem is on the hinges at the top of the bag. Think they could do with more strength.
Although annoying, still a pretty good bag.

I think it is reacting poorly to the TM clubs you have added to the bag... :) Seriously though, I cannot get my bag legs to do that if I tried. Something is seriously wrong. You need to take it to the retailer or golf shop where you purchased it and they will return it to Titleist. Probably a full replacement or refund. Titleist will want the bag to run it through their QA group to determine what may have gone wrong.

I've had mine since July and it's probably the best bag I've had in a long time. Titleist really hit a home run with this but I do have to agree with APhillip in regards to the water pocket, definitely small and a struggle to put my water bottle in there. Definitely tight but doesn't bother me one bit. It is what it is and still loving the bag. High recommend and biggest improvement are the straps.

Need a little help guys, got the gator feet to go on the legs, cannot he them to fit, you guys use a little grease or take off the little plastic things?

Didn’t want to force them on. Thanks in advance for the help.

Strange, mine fit perfectly. I was worried they might be too loose and come off easily but they are nice and snug. Did not need to trim anything. If your are too tight, maybe use a bit of grip solvent.

Ok thank you. So you just slid them on? Mine seem to be very tight and did not want to force them on, I will try the solvent.

Thanks again for the feedback, finally bit the bullet and bought one, delivery and collection delayed due to Covid! I've fitted the gator feet as recommended by Dale (Good shout!) and cant wait to use it. I use my staff bag on my trolley through the summer and carry a bag through the winter, so I've just changed my clubs and stuff over to the new one.
I can see the water bottle holder is a little tight but I'm sure I can find a bottle to fit in it!
Thank goodness Titleist have gone away from the strap set up they've had on their previous range of stand bags, I really like the look of the new rain hood which no one has mentioned, seems to be a good fit around the top of the bag, it doesn't have any zips. it's oversize with a Velcro fastening which allows it to fold back when selecting clubs to play - great idea. I just hope I don't have to use it much but given the British climate I'm guessing its likely to get plenty of use.

Wasn’t expecting to try the rain hood so quickly. But day 2 at Sand Valley ran into a deluge. I like the Velcro snaps with stretch in the base. Easy to attach and kept the inside reasonably dry.

Got the bag, and installed the gator feet, took a little grease to get them on. Played with the bag twice, and carrying it for 2 18 hole rounds has been great, very light and very comfortable. One of their best looking bags ever.

Ordered my Gator Feet today for my bag. Maybe this will become a standard on carry bags in the future. Perhaps someone from Titleist can weigh in on this. BTW I don't have a problem with my bag and the legs spreading apart as previously mentioned. I'm just looking for additional stability.
