I recently purchased a new Titleist Midsize Staff Bag. It has some great features that I like but there are two things I believe should be considered for future models. One is the carry handle at the bottom that facilitates lifting from an auto trunk. My prior year version (2015) of the same bag had a strap at the bottom which allowed me to use my entire hand to grip the bag when removing from the auto truck which was more secure. The new version(2019) has a slot-like design which only allows my fingers tips for gripping. This type does not foster a secure grip thus increasing the possibility for slipping and damage to the base on a hard surface. Suggest the prior year version with the strap be considered for future models.

The other feature for modification is the top cuff design. The new version is sort of egg shape in design thus making the two slots located where the shoulder strap attaches to the bag , smaller. I arrange my driver and putter(Scotty Cameron) in one compartment and the two Fairway clubs in the other. With headcover on the putter plus headcover on the driver the putter will not fit all the way down unless I tuck the headcover inside. This also hinders removal of the driver from the bag when necessary. The prior year version of the Midsize staff bag was more circular in design which resulted in a larger area for the clubs. I would suggest consideration be given for future models to use a more circular design for the top cuff.

With all the sporting events being postponed or even cancelled it is a pleasure for me to get outside and enjoy some activities when many are confined to their homes as a result of the virus. This past week-end I was able to play golf. Scored a 73 2 over par but 3 strokes better then my age. A great day at the course.

To my fellow Team Titleist members - Take care and be safe.

I have the '16 bag too. Use it on an electric trolley remote control cart to get it around. Have everything I need inside (probably more than I need really) but I love it, from the top openings, to the position of all the pockets. Minor mistake when my beloved wife "helped" me put a patch on it. I had a 9/11 patch from NYPD, FDNY, and Port Authority that I thought would look nice that I started sewing on the ball pocket. My beloved told me it was an iron on patch and started to do so to help me, until she realized she was melting the ballistic nylon on the pocket. I can new see through part of it, but it took a licking. Maybe I should make her carry it for me as punishment?

I have a '18 Mid- Staff bag and I love it. Right amount of pockets. Easy to get my clubs in and out of.
  7. what cart do you use the bag on? will it fit on a clicgear 3.0/3.5?

Johnny I you are referring to my statement, the answer is I use a clicgear 3.0 and it fits well on the cart. I have an umbrella holder on it and use it during the hot summer months here in Texas. It looks kind of goofy but it certainly provides shade from the hot Texas sun. I've had two Mohs surgeries.
  9. Hey Jerry,

I too purchased the midsize staff bag this year and was disappointed with the the size of the openings at the top. I arrange my clubs the same way as Allen P. With age my bag setup is changing so I need more room in this opening.I ended up taking it back and going back to my old bag.
  11. I have a StaDry bag -not so crazy about it because I have jumbo grips and it’s ridiculous to get my clubs in and out. Will this midsize bag be a good option??

Take your clubs to a store that has the midsize bag and try it out. That would be the thing I would do to insure your clubs fit in there properly.

Sort of like test driving a car!
    Good Luck!
