  1. Hi, I am looking into purchasing a golf rangefinder. How does this piece of equipment determine the slope and change the distance based on that?

    Nikon Coolshot 20

    Nikon 8397 Aculon

    TecTecTec VPRO500

    Bushnell Tour V3

  2. I have the V3 without slope and it works great, You can not use the slope in tournament play as far as I know just fyi.
I believe the slope must be determined using the elevation

Bushnell tour v4 shift for me,
    It’s awesome I love it.

I used to use the arccos 360,
It was not picking up all the clubs after shots and the distances were out on a few courses I played costing me shots.

Have had that model for years and rely on it for everyday play and use it in most tournaments I play where they are allowed. Their accuracy is off the charts.
  6. I also have the tour v4, took me ages to find a sleeve to cover it as they didn’t sell them in the uk.

Also have the Garmin s6 watch so fully tech’d out.

You left out Leupold. One of the finest optics available. Also Leica
  9. I have the Bushnell V4 and cannot say anything bad about it. It is accurate and fast. I use it for not just pins, but also trees, front and back of bunkers, waters edge, etc. I have seen some of my playing partners use some of the other brands, but I just think you can’t beat Bushnell...kind of like how we think about Titleist. Unless you can prove to me something is better, I am not interested.

Whenever we have a demo day here at the club, the other brands will ask me if I would like to hit their product. My response is, “Why? So that I will love my Titleist gear even more?” They usually get quiet and the nearby Titleist rep gets a grin on his face.

What does a selfie and winter on the cape have to do with range finders?

Add in Leupold.. Optics are spot on, just ask Special Forces and SWAT teams around the US. I can add their customer service is excellent. Slight malfunction in my device and them paid for shipping and replaced it with the latest version (mine was three years old)!

Leupold GX-4i. As Todd mentioned, great optics. It's what a lot of the military uses.

Bushnell is the best out there in my opinion
  18. The one I own (says everybody).
  19. I have the Bushnell tour V4 shift and combine with my arccos 360 gives great help plus can be tournament legal when I need it to be.
  20. I use a bushnell and really like it.

    Bushnell V4 for me.
  22. Never felt dialled in to my swing to the extent that I could hit precise required yardages...
It follows that I don't feel the need to know yardages to the inch.
Happy to rely on Garmin S2 watch for distances, knowing that the yardage is approximate, if reasonably close.
