I was also fit into the Ventus Red TR 7s for my GT3 fairway, but liked the UB so much, that my fitter built me a GD UB 6s in my fairway 16.5* with a heavier swingweight…absolutely love them.

Now, I want to get a GT2 21* hybrid with a GD shaft, and the GD AD Tour hybrid shaft only comes in the 88 gram shaft, not offered in the 75 gram weight. This shaft is M/H launch which I want, the DI is L/M launch, want higher descent to hold a green. Anyone tried the GD AD Tour Hybrid shaft? It’s the blue shaft. Every swing is different, so you really should try to demo them before buying. For me it was a bit expensive but was a very noticeable improvement in ball flight.

RE: Graphite Design fairway shafts

Just my opinion,
I am playing AD DI in all driver, fw and hybrid.
I was having a problem of losing in left side, not anymore with Graphite Design.
These shafts are giving me a straight trajectory.

RE: Graphite Design fairway shafts

Okay, I just pulled the trigger on the AD DIs for my 4 and 7 woods. I really think it will help with the dispersion.

RE: Graphite Design fairway shafts

Thanks everyone,, Ralph M, what was the biggest thing you found different with the DI vs IZ and what weight and flex were/are you playing in Driver an fairways?

RE: Graphite Design fairway shafts

Hi,
From my experience, I am playing AD Di shafts since few years and always loved them.
I was always afraid of the left side, but this shaft seems to want to go straight for me.
I am using this shaft in driver , fw and hybrid.
The other shaft that is as straight for me is the Kurokage TiNi in driver, and Matrix HX4, white tie, in hybrid.

I was fitted with Denali red, but I was fitted inside. The ball speed and smash was very good but I did not feel that I had control on direction.
After thinking about it, I decided to order it with Ad Di shafts since I know the performance of this shaft.

RE: Graphite Design fairway shafts

I had DIs in two fairways for a year, and then discovered the IZ. I have that shaft in my driver and went with the same fairway shafts as you. I just got fitted for the GT2 hybrid Tour Ad Di, but asked the fitter if I could try the upgraded shafts in my fairways. It did help out with the left and right movement, but I did not pull the triggger. I hit the fairways pretty well with the stock shafts.

RE: Graphite Design fairway shafts

I use the Tour AD DI in my fairway woods. I also opened up the face a bit and reduced the loft to avoid the miss left. I like to fade my fairway woods off the deck and draw them off the tee. I like the feel of the AD DI the best.
