You only have 45 minutes for a fitting and they do not have time to fix your swing problem. Be fair to yourself and the fitter. Go see a PGA instructor. Then go for a fitting. With respect and good luck. Am recovering from back surgery and have hit a few of those this week myself. I yelled at the club and it went away....ha..ha..ha..NOT

RE: Fitting days

the one thing i always look forward to at my home course every summer are the once a year outdoor Titleist fitting days. They always either a GC2 or Trackman. Even when im happy with my bag, i still find myself heading over there to snoop around..

i cant say the same for other OEMs.

RE: Fitting days

Well, I went, hit very few hosel rockets. All in all not a bad day swinging the sticks. Just as I suspected he said “your hands are just getting away from your body” at any rate.... I went in with an open mind. I told him I’d swing whatever he put in my hands. I was fit for 620CB’s XStiff KBS tour shaft, standard length, -2* lie. I really like that shaft, feels like I can feel the clubhead more compared to the Project X. I didn’t hit the ball particularly well, I feel like I could do better, but it is what it iswww.titleist.com/.../iqnk2jxjt96rl9xjkoo7

RE: Fitting days

I would say GO, it's free and the fitter can probably quickly help you fix the dreaded "S", should it still be present, along with getting you fit for a new setup if you decide to make the change.

RE: Fitting days

First rule, DO NOT EVER SAY THE “S” WORD!! Lol, that’s baaaaad luck. I’d say go for the fitting and see what happens. Try to clear your head. Hopefully it will work itself out and you can collect some good data. If it’s just not a good day, then go back for a second fitting on another day. The fittings are free so you have nothing to lose and no pressure to buy on that day. Most importantly, have fun and good luck!

RE: Fitting days

No club change will eliminate the “hosel rocket”. If you want to change for other reasons like feel, consistency, trajectory, then go do a fitting. See a pro about the shanks. Usually a spine angle thing, pushing the hips forward in the downswing. Unfortunately I know it too well from experience. A good pro will see what move is driving you forward and will get you fixed with the right drill for you. Don’t rely on all us arm-chair quarterbacks. Good luck and hopefully you will be back to normal soon.
