About a month ago, literally 2 days before my club shut down most operations, I was able to get my TS fitting in. If you haven't gone through a fitting yet or are hesitant, do it, and here's why:

I've always been a pretty good driver of the ball. I played a TM RocketBallz Stage 2 driver, which was approaching 10 years old. I would hit a good drive 250 yards. I thought that was pretty good for me. I'm 5'8 and built like a twig--I was never going to be a long hitter. A pretty good 3 wood (a close to 15 year old TM Burner) for me would go about 225-230 yards, and I could hardly hit that thing. It was time to replace the top of my bag.

I would call myself a gear junkie, and I spend a lot of time researching clubs and shafts and try to figure out what I would probably be fit into. I went into the fitting with an idea of what I would come out with, and boy was I wrong. I had no idea how much I spun the ball and how much distance I lost because of how high I hit my driver.

To me, one of the most valuable things in the fitting was having the TrackMan data right there. Its amazing how much I learned from just that, and I felt that my game got so much better just from looking at data. In that hour long fitting, I learned so much more about my game than I ever thought I would.

I've played 9 or 10 rounds with the new clubs and oh my goodness. I'm finding twice as many fairways and hitting drives an average of 30 yards longer than before. I'm now able to reach some par 5's with a soft 4 iron instead of them being 3 shot holes like they used to.

I'm hitting my 3 wood straighter, longer, and much more consistently. 3 woods are going longer than my previous driver.

All this is great, but the mos important thing I came away with was confidence. When I step up to a tee box, I know I can bomb this tee shot down the middle of the fairway. That alone has dropped my scores by 5-6 shots.

On a less important note, the head covers are incredible. I've always had a different head cover than what clubs come with, but these TS head covers are better than anything I've ever seen. If you were to take the name Titleist off and replace it with the name Gucci, I wouldn't question it for a second.

If you are hesitant or reluctant to pull the trigger on a fitting, or are in the market for a new driver, I *strongly* encourage you to get fit. I've shaved off 5-6 shots per round just by going through the fitting. I'm having much more fun playing (not that I wasn't having fun before). I know so much more about my game and I feel like I've taken a major step towards getting my handicap into the single digits.

I got fit into an 8.5 degree TS2 head with an EvenFlow shaft, 65g stiff flex. My 3 wood is the same setup, just 15 degrees.

My previous driver would carry about 240 yards and roll out to 250. My new TS2 is carrying 265 yards and rolling out to 280-285. My previous 3 wood would carry about 215 and roll out to 235. Now I'm carrying my 3 wood 245 and its rolling out to 255-260.
