  1. I recently had a driver fitting. My question is whether I should wait for the new TS4 to come out? Reducing my overall spin numbers, that is my big struggle. The fitter placed me in a Kuro Kage shaft with TS3 head at 9.5 loft. I love the new drivers look.

Impossible question to answer...you are better off going back to your fitter and asking for a TS4 fitting when it is available or maybe just look at going with a shaft that promotes lower spin.

Out of curiosity, what is your spin number with the TS3 & Kuro Kage shaft the fitter recommended?
  3. It depends on how much spin you were getting. While head styles can help reduce spin, its not a big change. If you look at the TS2 and TS3, many people including myself there was only a few hundred rpm difference in the head. The shaft will make more of a difference. The Kuro Kage is the highest launch, high spin shaft from the stock offerings.

For my fitting, I am a low ball hitter and also have low spin, after trying the Tensei AV, Smoke, and Evenflow. I would have thought I would need a high launch high spin shaft. But the best numbers, ball speed, and control came from the Evenflow White which is the lowest launch and spin stock shaft.

The TS2 I didn't care for and the numbers didn't change much from the TS3, I was thinking the TS2 would help bring my spin up and launch, but it didn't bring it up enough. With the settings we lofted up the TS3 10.5 to 11.25 and I got my launch and spin in the window I needed.

I would go do a Titleist Thursday and see if there is another shaft to help bring down the spin more.
