    Hi everyone.

Years ago (about 14) I was fitted for my first set of decent irons and for the life of me I seem to remember that they were stiff shafts and could have been 1 degree upright.

I got back into golf this year after 8 years out and bought some AP2 716 irons along with titleist woods etc. However there were a great deal but they are all standard loft and lie and regular shafts.

Is it really worth now getting fitted again due to the amount of shafts available and could a regular shaft be hindering let alone 1 degree out?

    I play off 9 now.

    Thanks

If you have the option to get fit...do it. Get what is right for your game

Forged clubs should be checked for loft and lie at a local pro shop every couple of years. It is reasonable to get a lie check and adjustment if needed. I’m a firm believer of getting fit for every club. Being LH helped - there are rarely “stock” options. But my clubs, even if RH, are not even remotely stock. If necessary you could get reshaftted but cost will be similar to selling your current clubs and buying a set fitted.
