I was just getting used to the fact that Titleist would come out with new Woods in the fall every two years, and new irons during the opposite years. This was a great plan as it certainly gives Titleist an opportunity to spend time to come up with a quality design. I was thrilled this fall when I went in to get fit for a new TSi Driver and Fairway Wood. It was October and I was at the National Fitting Center which in itself is always an awesome experience. I tried both the Tsi2 and the Tsi3 models with a variety of shafts to get the one that worked the best for my swing. Thrilled that I got the best option available I made the purchase and the new clubs were delivered in January. My new clubs are patiently waiting in the basement for the snow to melt so I could go out and give them a work out. Meanwhile here it is - near the middle of February and Titleist has come out with the new Tsi1 and the Tsi4. I have not even taken the plastic off my new clubs and Titleist has introduced new options. I truly hope that Titleist doe not make a habit of this. I remember the frustration back in the day when you just brought home the best computer available and a month later a newer, faster, better computer was in the shop. You got to the point where you were not sure when to pull the trigger and make the purchase !

They did this with the TS line as well. I'm intrigued to try the TS4 because I put a lot of spin on my drives. I know the driver won't exactly correct my issue but it will help. I think the TSi4 is supposed to spin 300-400 RPM less than the TSi3
  3. I don’t know how often you upgrade Darius, but I have found that newer does not always mean better. Sometimes the new technology is obvious, but I gone in to Golftown ready to upgrade only to discover my existing works just as well for me as the newer model. I do spend money on golf, but I don’t spend money anywhere else. Plus, if you purchased quality it will always be worth something on a trade.

Bob... I am not one that upgrades annually like some. (not in the budget) My last driver was a 917 and my 3 wood was a 913. I never purchase a new driver or set of irons without giving them a work-out on the range over at the Titleist National Fitting Center. That gives me a chance to set a base-line with my existing clubs and then see what kind of improvement I could gain (if any) from the new options. I also like being at the National Fitting Center as they have the outdoor range. This allows me to see the ball flight as well as see the data on the Trackman so I know where my spin rates are along with all the other data it provides. Most of which means little to me other than the person doing the fitting can let me know if there is still a lot of room for improvement or if I have basically hit the plateau for my swing.
The one thing that does not change is the putter. Somehow you just get more emotionally attached to your scotty:)

Still swinging my mint 915 3wood Daruis.
I agree its confusing, and frustrating. I get fit and every 4 or so years look to upgrade if it works better or my swing has changed (like getting older and slower lol)

Sometimes a bargain on an old version comes up and get in between upgrades.

Hard no to fall in love with pics of NEW Titleist gear as it comes out lol.

    Lottery??

I believe that the TS1 & TS4 were released 6 months after the TS2 & TS3. I think it is just a marketing ploy to give them (the models) more attention 2 models versus 4 in a release.
  7. I love the look of the new metals but like others I just don’t have the extra $$ to upgrade....plus I still love my older Titleist clubs. Maybe in a year or two I’ll be able to find a deal on something newer. They’re sweet looking clubs!
