Interested in knowing what everyone is playing when it comes to the irons in your bag. Lately I been looking at mixing Ap3 (W-7)and T200(6-3). What are everyone’s thought on this? And when been fitted for an mix set what are the major differences or is there any?

I have a slightly mixed set...
I carry AP3's from my 5 iron to my Pitching Wedge. An AP1 4 iron, and have replaced my 3 iron with a 918 Hybrid.
It is not a huge mix like I have see with some, but it is a good match for my game.

I personally found through fittings that a mixed set works for me. We worked through combinations of models and shafts to get my carry distances in 10 yard increments (providing I hit it solid.....) and lowering spin. Also with the different lofts between models is hard to match up without a fitting. I currently play 4 & 5 TMB, 6 & 7 AP2, 8 & 9 MB, 46, 50, 54, 58 SM7's. I also play a course with long par 3's' so the carry distance to the middle of the green is important to know.

I play a mixed set also... 3,4,5 AP1's, 6,7,8,9 AP2,s then 46, 52, 56 vokeys…. in the irons I have KBS tour stiff and the standard stock shafts in the vokeys. Love my AP irons but am looking forward to swinging and maybe getting a set of the new T models. They do look pretty good!

I'm in the process of moving towards a mixed set right now. I currently play 3-PW AP2's. I'm pulling the 3 and 4 out and replacing them with a T-MB 4 iron. My existing 4 iron doesn't get a lot of play, I just don't end up at that yardage too often. My 3 iron gets a significant amount of play since it's the longest iron in the bag that I can hit from the fairway. I also play a TM Tour Preferred UDI 1 iron but it's too difficult to hit from the turf; off a tee it's great. I'm hoping to test out the new U500 irons soon with the goal of finding a replacement that is good from both a tee and the turf.

Part of the purpose of going to the T-MB 4 iron was to allow for another wedge in the bag. I currently play with 3 wedges but was finding too often that I was between full wedge shots and not getting the results I wanted. It seems like the gapping on my existing wedges is just too great at 6 degrees of loft.

By the end of next week it should look like this:
    UDI 1 Iron
    TM-B 4 Iron
    5-PW AP2's
    50, 54, 58 SM7's

And hopefully in the next month or two I'll be able to test out the U500 and possibly the T100's to replace the AP2's.
