I personally use the CP2 Jumbo grip from Golf Pride and moved to that originally because I had "golfers elbow" and someone told me that larger grips allowed one to use less grip pressure to hold the club. I have to admit that it worked. The larger grip eased the pain in my forearm and actually gave me better control of my club. I have to add that I have hands with long fingers which would dig into my palms when I used regular sized grips, but I did not know much about proper grip sizing. I see more and more players at our club choosing medium sized and jumbo grips. I was curious if this was a trend now across the golfing spectrum, or if this is just something that is happening locally because of word of mouth and players trying to emulate those that play better than them. Did you change grips sizes recently ? How did you decide to make the change ? Also - and this is a question for the fitters... Will switching from regular grips to mid size or jumbo affect the balance of the club in any significant way ? If so - what should those of us who did that do to follow up ?

Last year I went to mid sized Golf Pride CP2 Pro grips. It was time I changed my grips and my local installer at Golf Town was the one that recommended that I go to mid sized as my fingers wrapped around the grip and into my palm.

Have been playing Lamkin UTx midsize grips for many years now even though the size chart says that a regular sized grip is recommended. I say BS to the "packaged recommendation" and use what ever size grip feels good to you. The grip is the only direct connection that you have with your clubs so take your time and find the most comfortable size/style of grip for your swing.

I agree with steve m. Whatever grip feels the best.
I've been playing the Golf Pride New Decade MM in midsize. I like the MCC plus4 midsize as well and might switch to them next year.
