Is it just a coincidence that Bubba Watson gets his first win in two years after switching back to the ProV1x ??? His distance (not that he needed more) increased from what he had lately and I hear they attribute that partly to the switch in golf balls. The ProV1x is a proven winner ! Do the rest of us mere mortals need any more proof than that to convince us that we are on the right team ?

It seemed like they talked about the ball switch a lot during the coverage but I noticed they never said the brand name at all. They talked about how Bubba had no confidence in his previous balls workability and how he didn't like the sound of it. I guess he didn't factor in those to factors losing him prize money and world rankings.

Darius -- I could not agree more! Bubba obviously knows how his Pro V1x will perform and that it performs for him consistently so it really was a surprise that he even contemplated switching to a different manufacturer last year.

It reminds me of a story that I read in a Hogan biography when he was sponsored by a different ball manufacturer and he felt that their ball was inferior. He eschewed a sponsorship and the money that went with it to switch to a Titleist golf ball because it performed better and was a better ball.

How's my friend in the upper North. Agree with you, Darius and think he wanted a ball that he could work more. Guess it "worked" in his favor. Did not care for those matte colored balls he was playing. Cheers, Chuck.............

Hey Chuck... Things warmed up here over the last few days and a lot of our snow cover is dwindling. I am holding out hope that we may find a couple of courses in Southern Ontario opening near the end of March this year giving me a chance to find a course or two to play a month before mine opens. I am more than willing to drive an hour and a half or more to get in a few early season games :)
Keep well, and keep your balls in the fairway !
