  1. The TOUR has decided to get with the time and is updating it message. For the first time in more than 20 years, the PGA TOUR is launching a new advertising campaign. Titled “Live Under Par,” the campaign plays on golf’s unique scoring language to portray the pursuit of excellence by TOUR players as well as the PGA TOUR’s ingrained mission of giving back.

“Live Under Par” becomes the TOUR’s first new theme and tagline since “These Guys Are Good,” the longest-running advertising campaign among major sports, debuted in 1997.

Thoughts? Do you like it...I am uncertain...

Received the email yesterday and quite honestly a change to the PGA Tours catch phrase is pretty low on my list of things to be concerned about. Don't follow the tour(s) because of a phrase, I follow because I like watching and reading about professional golf.

I am not very impressed by what I have watched. I hadn't heard about it until I read your post. It seems like they could have done better.

Thanks Rob for uploading the commercial. The commercial did nothing for me.

I just seen the commercial, thanks Rob for the link. I will say it is pretty average VS what they had. It seemed very busy for the slower speaking part of it. But I give it a B. Now if we can only continue to grow the game.
  8. Rob Thanks for the link...interesting commercial...I can see how they wanted to shorten the tag line for social media purposes... #theseguysaregood is longer than #liveunderpar ..... but not by much! LOL

Of course, they could have used #Dilly and just made it one word!

    I like it.

The web page is well done and focuses on two of the top assets of the tour: 1.) the quality of the players on tour - it make these stars more human 2:) the charity / volunteer side of the PGA Tour and how everyday folks like us can help make this world a little better place.

The PGAT probably needs to stick with two campaigns - TGAG and LUP = TGAG for mass marketing advertising - everyone knows that....and LUP targeted at hardcore fans.
