  1. Currently playing aerotech steelfiber 95i stiff. Getting older (69) and need to switch to something easier on an old man. Like the composite shafts and wondering if others have made the switch.

The 718 shafts offer a lot of options. I'm only 68 so the AMT-Red still works for me and is easy on me. There is also the graphite option that is variable weight. Standard carts don't have all the options for "special conditions" so you should try to get to a Titleist Thursday or an Advanced/Regional fitting center to find the best selection of shaft options.

I HAVE AP1'S WITH AEROTECH i70 COMPOSIT AND LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT MY CLUBS - WENT TO A GREAT FITTER TO GET THEM BUT WELL WORTH THE TIME AND MONEY
  4. Why not just play i95 reg, or even i95 reg hard stepped once. Especially if you like the performance of the Steelfiber i95 (I'm 36 and play the i95s and love them). If they work just drop down a flex or possibly hard step, hard to beat Steelfiber.

I have the Recoil 95's in my AP2's an I can tell you...buttery smooth and awesome feedback when striking the ball. I would see a certified Titleist fitter and try the different shafts you think you might want to try. That's truly the only way to find out what's going to work best for you!
  6. I went with the ust recoil es 780 shafts with a set of cally apex irons. Thus far they are about 1 club longer than the ap2s with the aerotech 95i shafts and they are so much easier to hit. These shafts were not offered as an option with the new ap2 irons.
