I recently purchased a 5-AW AP1/AP3 combo set after getting fitted. A couple weeks after I asked the fitter for a 4i. I just got the 4i and it does not have a serial number on the head like all of my other Titleist clubs. Should I be concerned?

I believe that only the 6 iron has a serial number on an iron set.

I think only if it's not standard. Is your 4i standard? (no loft or lie adjustments) ...Meaning that standard clubs will not have a serial. Honestly, it's not really a serial number at all. It's more of an order and spec reference number and they don't need to put one on a standard spec club. You can use that number to order a replacement club or a new one with the same specs.

I purchased my irons from a third party; can I send Titleist the serial number in order to find out who the original purchaser was??
  5. If you add a club to your custom set will Titleist use the same serial number if it’s ordered later? What about replacing a club? Playing with 718 AP2s.

  6. I sold a 48° wedge to a guy and he claims its not genuine as it does not have a number. Should every club have a number ?
