Maybe (probably) I'm a dumbbell, but after I remove the end cap on my new 917 D2, the neutral weight won't come out. I can hear it rattling in the head but it won't move -- the instructions just say to remove it, like it should just slip out. Am I missing something? (I want to install the other weight in the Draw position to make it easier to turn over.)

Hi Roald, It should just slide out. Not sure if the head was too warm, but you could take the cap off, put the driver aside for 5 minutes with the cap off and see if it slides out. If not, have to have your shop set up a Warranty so that we can remove it and get you a new weight.

Thanks, Cathi -- I've tried that as well as DClark's firm slap; no joy. Disappointing; I just bought the driver yesterday and haven't even hit a ball with it yet.

Hi Roald, It's good that you have not hit anything with it yet. Just take it back to your shop and have them swap the driver. Then they can contact our Warranty department and handle from there.

Thanks again, Cathi -- got the club swapped out on Saturday and the one I had should be on its way to you now.

I’ve had the same problem, I just give the driver head a firm slap and the weight drops out.

Oh man, not good. I have had no problems with any of mine. Do you have a magnet that you might be able to get it out with? I think I have seen similar tools used for auto repair, magnetic screw retrievers. I would take it to a golf show that sells Titleist clubs and has a repair shop. Someone like Golf Mart.

Try giving it a little shake and see if it falls out , if not take it to a titleist stockist and they will sort it for you

I had the same problem with my 818 hybrid, I heated the weight port with a hot air gun and had to drill the weight and insert a self tapping screw. For some reason the had glued the weight into the head.

Thanks -- that's what the pro who sold me the club guessed. It's been warrantied and I have the replacement now which doesn't have that issue.
