I am a 16 handicap making great progress on my game this year. I play the AP1 714's and was just fitted into AP1 718's at Titleist Thursday last week.

Are the C16 irons playable at my level. I have read everything I can find but don't see a lot of AP 1 players making the change mainly AP2 players going to the C16.

As always looking to here from the C16 players and the Titleist Advisors. Thanks

I have both 716 AP1 and C16 irons. The 716 is more forgiving, but, certainly not a huge difference. There is a bit more offset on the AP1 and I find them easier to square up the club face on longer irons. If you are prone to or fight a fade the AP1 will be a better option. Otherwise the C16 are beautiful at address, and launch noticeably higher. For what it's worth I'm waiting on 718 AP1 to put in my bag. Hope this helps

The C16 iron is very playable, however if you were fitted for the AP1 that should be the club you go to. The C16 is a great iron but it is extremely expensive, $560 ea in steel and $625 ea in graphite. For the price of 2 C16s you will have your complete set of AP1s.
  4. I've got a tee to green 2 hour fitting booked for Thursday and will be looking at both the AP3's and C16's as well as AP2's. I'm in Australia an the price for AP3's is A$249 whilst C16's are A$515, a bit over double. To change this to US$ multiply by 0.8.
