I feel I need to get this off my chest... I have played my 714 Ap-2's for now going on my 3rd season. By far best clubs I have ever owned!! The part people don't realize is the consistency and feel you get from them. I have tried the 716's and felt that the "Soft feel" was gone a bit and I just didn't love them. So last week I decided to fall for the other brands propaganda and go try the new 770 and 750 series irons. After many balls hit we looked at the numbers. My Ap-2's were 5 yards longer at max and the dispersion rate was far less. The best hit with brand X still never felt like butter that my clubs do. lesson learned for this guy.. I won't be wasting my days off chasing new clubs when I have the best in my bag!! Welll at least till 2018 then I'll try the new Ap-2's again..

Great story Brian B. I know there is plenty of so called competitors out there trying their best to sway us over to their equipment, but we know that once you play AP2's you never want to switch. Like you say its all in the "feel" and advertising is not going to convince us otherwise. Have a great season.

I'm glad you went out and tried something else. And compared it directly to your clubs.

We'd all be doing a disservice to ourselves with blind loyalty. If there's something else out there that will improve your game - go for it.

I love my Titleist irons. And will be adding wedges soon (and preferably at least one FW) but I don't game a Scotty. I have another brand that I happen to putt better with so that goes in my bag!

I'm just about to start my 3rd year win my 714 AP2's. Changed from the 735 CM's and as beautiful a club the 735's were, the added distance and forgiveness from the AP2's has helped me massively.

Planning to get on the local pros launch monitor to check my yardages and then have the loft and lie on my AP2's, just to make sure none of them have moved from 2 years use.

Play what works! Its all trial and error! I've always said its a blend of clubs and shafts and find the combination the works for you! Keep it up!

I love my 714 ap2's! I also went wondering. But i was looking for more forgiveness. Nothing felt right. I just prefer Titleist. I will be giving the VG3's a test drive. Heard nothing but great things!
