I recently bought the 915 D3, in the Diamana White 70+ X-flex and today on the range there was a clicking sound during my take away and when I would shake it, could something have gone loose in the head or something in the shaft have broken?

  2. linZboy42,If you bought it from a titleist dealer, take it back and they will call titleist and set everything up to get the problem fixed. steve b

I had this happen to my 913 driver this spring. Turned out to be water inside the head from soaking in soapy water to clean it to long. Try taking out the weight in the bottom of the head and see if water comes out when you shake it...

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem - I have a 915d3 8.5*, last week I heard a rattle, dismantled the head/shaft and was unable to see anything further. Spoke with Titlesit via phone and they suggested taking it to any authorised Titleist dealer and they will return it on your behalf. I believe the 915 line will still be covered by 12 month warranty.

If you remove the shaft and still hear the rattle (make sure you hold down the Surefit screw as that will shake) then I'd guess it is either some loose glue or some sort of swingweight that has become dislodged.

I dropped the head off with my local pro at the weekend, will let you know as soon as I hear anything.

Hi,  I'm sorry to hear of the rattle in your head.  Please take it back to your pro shop and have them set up a Warranty repair.  Ask them to make sure they get a 2 day call tag and expedited Warranty inspection.  They will bring it in and try to figure out what the problem is and if they cannot fix it, they will more than likely replace the head for you.
  6. I took am going through the same thing but with the 915 fd 15 degree three wood. I cannot return this club to my pro shop as they don't deal with titleist unfortunately. The club was purchased from golfsmith online will I have any issues returning this? The club is still mint besides for whatever broke loose inside of it and I can feel it throughout my swing, it's very annoying.

Hi Michael,  I contacted Golfsmith online and they recommended that you take it to a local Golfsmith and have them set up the Warranty inspection and repair. This would be covered under Warranty and you should have no issues setting this up.

  8. Every club in my bag, including my bag is Titleist. I have a 913 driver in very good condition with something very distracting rattling around inside of it, something very clearly came loose inside the driver head. Based on my research this is not an overly uncommon problem with Titleist metal woods, it’s a manufacturing problem or defect. I personally think it should be covered under warranty even though it’s a couple of years old. I’ve always thought Titleist was a first class company! I don’t think a few years of use is acceptable performance when you consider the cost & now I’m forced to buy a new one. Just my two cents.
