A neighbor sent me an email this am regarding some old equipment she had that she has had since she was in high school (graduated 1964, same as me) and was wanted to know if I knew someone who could use them. Graciously took them and told her I would find her babies a good home. Did some research on them to see if they had any value, but the irons were actually from sears, the three persimmon wood was a Patty Berg 4150 and there was a nice Spaulding Gold Line putter. All women's equipment. I figured I would take them to our pro who works with a lot of kids and maybe they could help some out with the irons for a beginner in the first tee program.

The items that caught my eye were the golf balls that were in the bottom of the bag. A number of Faultless Lee Trevino signature balls and then a couple of Titleist golf balls. One was an Acushnet DT and then one I had never seen before. An Acushnet K, which had black Titleist lettering with a red number on it. Any leads on this ball?

Thanks pal. A few years ago and that was a awesome collection. What does the K stand for?

I guess you just proved that I'm old.....the first new club I ever bought was a 9 iron withe the name Patty Berg on it (didn't know it was a woman's club, thought maybe it was an Irishman Patty). I also remember buying and play the Faultless Lee Trevino balls. Maybe they came out after he won The Open in '68? I even think the entire box cover was a full color photo of him at The Open. Other than that I remember the Acushnet Club Special. Played those too. All as I just learning in the back yard with similar clubs that she gave you.
