I am fortunate to be going to the Masters with 3 buddies for Wednesday’s practice round and Par 3. I am sooooooo pumped as this is trip as I have never been to the Masters. We are staying in Columbia, SC and are planning on getting there on Monday. Looking for course recommendations to play. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

  2. Congratulations on going to the Masters! I hope to go one day. Let us know how the experience is. Enjoy!

There are some awesome courses in Aiken. Check on line and see what is available there. Think you might be happier playing in Aiken.

Sorry Luke, all my South Carolina golf has been in Hilton Head so no help towards places to play in Columbia. Have a great trip! Enjoy the pimento cheese sandwiches. Should be a lot of excitement if Tiger stays healthy enough to play there this year.

Check out Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, SC. Located between Columbia and Augusta. Historic, private club. Alastair MacKenzie design. Members open club to public during Masters week. Call pro shop now to make a tee time. Tee times go fast. Absolute classic!

I'll be there also with my wife. A friend gave me 2 for Wednesday. Just so happens that we are also celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary so it's going to be a little extra special. I've been a few time and always told her how beautiful it is (not a good thing to do, in hind sight). That being said, she is pretty excited, as am I.

There's a couple courses in North Augusta that are pretty nice, but can't recall the name's.

Nice Luke R. Sounds like a great trip. The Masters has always been my favorite. Can't wait to hear about it.
    Play Well,

  11. I went to the Masters four years straight fron 2013 to 2016. You will have a blast. Be prepared to pay alot to play anywhere near Augusta. Many of the courses mark their rates up that week. If you are looking for a cheap course, but still fun, we played Indian Trail Golf Club which was near Columbia. Our group wasnt interested in a posh experience, just some laid back golf.

Be sure to buy plenty of souvenirs at the Masters, you cant buy them anywhere else. Have fun and soak it in!

I was lucky enough to win the ticket lottery and got to go to Wednesday last year! It is an amazing place. Make sure you bring a good camera (you're only allowed to bring a camera on practice rounds) as you will want to document every second you are on the course. I took some amazing pictures and look through them regularly to remind myself of how amazing it is and that I was actually there.

I didn't play while I was there but was glad I didn't because I spent so much money in the merchandize tent that I probably couldn't have afforded to play. haha.

    Have an amazing time!

Those merchandise tents are packed with some great items and they do an outstanding job of controlling the crowds, even though there is a never ending line. When in doubt buy it. Once in a lifetime opportunity. Have been many many times and am always amazed at the beauty of the course. The memories. =)
