Austin Smotherman Wins the Butterfield Bermuda Championship to Secure His Second Career PGA Tour Victory in as Many Starts

Showcasing control and precision through windswept conditions, Austin Smotherman (Pro V1x) prevailed in extra holes to earn his second career PGA Tour win in as many starts.

A Monday morning playoff was scheduled after high winds forced the cancellation of Sunday’s final round and reduced the tournament to 54 holes, with Smotherman and Seamus Power (Pro V1x) tied at 16 under.
Smotherman, who currently ranks eighth on the PGA Tour in Strokes Gained: Approach (+0.637), made par on each of the three trips around the 152-yard par-3 16th hole in the all-Pro V1x playoff, securing another PGA Tour title after breaking through at the Bank of Utah Championship earlier this month.
The SMU alum displayed exceptional ball-striking throughout the week, ranking 2nd in Proximity (26’2”) and 6th in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green (+7.275).
He hit 72% GIR (T18) while scrambling for par at an 80% clip (T11).
Smotherman and Power also led a group of Titleist golf ball players who finished Saturday’s third round 1-2-3-4-5 atop the leaderboard, with nine of the final top 10 playing a Pro V1 or Pro V1x:

Smotherman, a 2025 Korn Ferry Tour graduate who finished third on last year’s Points List after a two-win season, first switched to his Pro V1x from a competitive brand at the start of last year and hasn’t changed his golf ball model since.
Seventy-five percent of the field this week in Bermuda (90 players) teed up a Titleist golf ball, more than six times the nearest competitor.
Smotherman’s victory today marks the 29th win for Titleist golf ball players this season on the PGA Tour.

16 PLAYERS TEE UP NEW 2027 PRO V1 AND PRO V1x GOLF BALLS IN BERMUDA

Corey Conners and Taylor Moore were among 16 players who teed up NEW 2027 Pro V1 and Pro V1x models this week in Bermuda, as the validation process for the next generation models continues on the PGA Tour and professional tours around the world.
After testing 2027 Pro V1x at home last week, Conners moved to the new model in his first opportunity Thursday at Port Royal and opened with an 8-under 63, tying his lowest round of 2026.
In the most difficult conditions Saturday, Conners hit 14 of 18 greens (T2) on his way to a closing 69 and a T3 finish.
It was a similar story for Moore, who after testing 2027 Pro V1 at home last week put it right in play on his way to a T3 finish as well, his best result since March.
Moore posted rounds of 65-68-66 while gaining +5.685 shots (4th) on approach shots.
All eight players who teed up 2027 Pro V1 (Moore, Hayden Springer, Chad Ramey) and Pro V1x (Conners, Jeffrey Kang, Brendon Todd, Hank Lebioda, No. 5 SG: Around the Green) for the first time this week in Bermuda advanced to the weekend.
Last week on the JGTO, Yusaku Hosono trusted the new Pro V1x to victory at the Japan Open Golf Championship, earning invitations to the 2027 Masters and the 155th Open Championship, his first major starts.
A week earlier, Hosono was among 12 players who put the 2027 Pro V1 and Pro V1xin play at the PGA Tour’s Baycurrent Classic in Japan as the global validation phase officially got underway.
That list of early adopters also included Jordan Spieth (Pro V1), Brian Harman (Pro V1x), Sahith Theegala (Pro V1), Tom Hoge (Pro V1) and Denny McCarthy (Pro V1).
Hoge finished T6 this week in Bermuda while leading the field in Scrambling (95%), getting up-and-down on 19 of 20 attempts.
McCarthy led the field this week in Strokes Gained: Around the Green (+3.978) while finishing T15.
In total, 25 players have already teed up 2027 Pro V1 and Pro V1x models on the PGA Tour.

DP WORLD TOUR / KPGA | Genesis Championship

Yuto Katsuragawa (Pro V1) earned his second career DP World Tour title, matching the course record with a third-round 63 (-8) before closing in even-par 71 for the two-shot victory.

Katsuragawa made only one bogey over the weekend, leaning on a sharp short game to rank 4th in Scrambling after getting up-and-down 17 of 22 times (77.3%).
Seventy-one percent (90) of competitors this week in South Korea teed up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball model, more than five times the nearest competitor (17).
Twenty-four of the 28 events played this season on the DP World Tour have been won by Titleist golf ball players.
The victory vaulted Katsuragawa from 106th to 28th in the Race to Dubai Rankings, ensuring his DP World Tour card for 2027 while also earning spots in the season-ending Rolex Series events in Abu Dhabi and Dubai

LADIES EUROPEAN TOUR | Hero Women’s Indian Open

Gaming her NEW 2027 Titleist Pro V1x golf ball, Pornanong Phatlum won in a four-shot runaway for her fourth career victory at the Women’s Indian Open.

Phatlum, who first moved to the next generation Pro V1x at the LPGA’s LOTTE Championship earlier this month, was in complete control on Sunday, closing with a bogey-free, 7-under 65.
It was the low round of the day by three shots and one of only two final round scores in the 60’s.
She was the only player to finish double-digits under par after four trips around DLF Golf and Country Club’s difficult layout.

JGTO | Fortinet Players Cup

The winner of the Fortinet Players Cup trusted his Titleist GT3 driver, U•505 utility and Vokey lob wedge to his fourth career JGTO title.

He hit 75% fairways in regulation (T7).
Thirty-six players this week played a Titleist driver (38%), more than double the next most played brand (17).
Six of the last eight events on the JGTO have been won by players gaming a Titleist driver.

SUNSHINE TOUR | Stella Artois Players Championship

Titleist Brand Ambassador Deon Germishuys birdied the first playoff hole to capture his fourth career Sunshine Tour victory.

Gaming a setup that included his Pro V1 golf ball and NEW GTS metals, Germishuys made 24 birdies over four rounds in Gauteng, including four on the back nine Sunday (Nos. 11-12, 16-17) to force extra holes.
Germishuys was one of 118 players (83%) who teed up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball at Glendower GC, more than five times the nearest competitor (22).
Titleist was also the most played in every major equipment category: driver (54%), fairway (46%), hybrid (50%), utility (53%), iron (51%), wedge (65%) and putter (37%).

Adam Bland (Pro V1x) closed in 3-under 67 to win by two and capture his second career PGA Tour of Australasia title.

The hometown winner made 24 birdies over rounds of 67-65-64-67.
Titleist was the overwhelming #1 ball at Willunga GC, with 107 (74%) players teeing up a Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf ball.

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS | Stifel Charity Classic

In his first start this season playing a Titleist golf ball, the Stifel Charity Classic champion (Pro V1) played his final six holes in 6 under to win by one and claim his first Champions Tour victory.

Gaming an equipment setup that also included his NEW GTS3 driver and fairway, he made eight birdies and two eagles on his way to a Sunday 62, jumping eight spots on the leaderboard to beat out the field at the first of three Charles Schwab Cup Playoff events.
He climbs from 23rd to 7th in the Schwab Cup standings with the win.
The six-time winner on the PGA Tour led a 1-through-5 finish for Titleist golf ball players on the final leaderboard.

Michael Brennan Cards a Breakthrough Victory at the Baycurrent Classic

Consistent and in control of his Pro V1, Titleist Brand Ambassador Michael Brennan closed in 3-under 68 Sunday in Japan to earn his third career PGA Tour title and second victory over his last five starts.

Brennan’s first three wins have all come in less than 12 months, starting with his breakthrough victory at the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship last October.
Win No. 2 followed in August at the Wyndham Championship.
Over his last 12 rounds, Brennan has failed to break 70 only once (71), posting 68-67-65-68 this week at Yokohama Country Club to finish at 16 under to win by one.
Relying on his GT3 driver and GTS 3-wood, Brennan led the field this week in Driving Accuracy at 91.67%, hitting 55 of 60 fairways including his final two Sunday with the tournament on the line.
“It's important to hit the fairways at this golf course,” Brennan said after the round. “With the Zoysia grass rough, the ball is a little more unpredictable than some of the other grasses that we play, I feel that the ball jumps more often and goes very far, so you have a lot more control when you do hit in the fairway. I thought our game plan this week was maybe even slightly more conservative than normal. I didn't hit a ton of drivers. There were a few holes where I actually hit less than driver where some of the guys hit driver, which is very I would say uncharacteristic of me. I’m normally the one to try to hit driver as much as possible, but as a result, I did hit a lot of fairways. And my irons were really sharp this week, I hit a lot of really good long irons so when I was in the fairway, I took advantage of it.”
Over the four days, Brennan hit 75% GIR (9th) and ranked T3 in Scrambling, getting up-and-down on 14 of 18 attempts (78%) on his way to 20 birdies and an eagle.
Brennan topped a leaderboard that featured 17 Titleist golf ball players in the top 20 positions, including Titleist Brand Ambassador Ren Yonezawa, who posted Sunday’s low round (64) to finish T9 in his first week playing the new Titleist Pro V1x golf ball.

NEW 2027 PRO V1 AND PRO V1x GOLF BALLS BEGIN GLOBAL VALIDATION PHASE

This week at Yokohama Country Club, the next generation Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls began a key global validation phase that will span the world’s professional tours for the next several months.
On Thursday in Japan, 12 players teed up a new Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball — including seven for the first time this week.
Among those teeing up 2027 models for the first time:
- Brian Harman (2027 Pro V1x), who played the weekend in 67-67 to finish T4 at 13 under. Harman led the field in Scrambling at 83%, getting up and down on 19 of 23 attempts.
- Ren Yonezawa (2027 Pro V1x), who posted a front-nine 29 on Sunday on his way to the low round of the day (7-under 64) and his best-ever finish on the PGA Tour (T9).
- Jordan Spieth (2027 Pro V1), who finished the week with a final-nine 32 and 4-under 67 to finish T13. Spieth was T3 in GIR at 77% (55 of 72).
Leading into this week’s launch, several players who had tested 2027 prototypes expressed interest in gaming the new models as soon as possible.
Four players asked to put new Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls in play at the Biltmore Championship Asheville, the opening event of the PGA Tour’s FedExCup Fall season.
Six more players teed up the 2027 models the following week at the Bank of Utah Championship.
That group included Doug Ghim (2027 Pro V1x), Zach Bauchou (2027 Pro V1) and Christiaan Bezuidenhout (2027 Pro V1x), who have now each posted sub-70 scores in seven of their first eight rounds with the new models.
Last week in Utah, Ghim finished runner-up in his first start with the new Pro V1x, carding rounds of 65-62-64-69 for a 24-under total and his best finish of the season.
He has jumped from 89th to 55th in the FedExCup Fall Standings since making the move. Bauchou, who posted a career-low 62 in his first round with the new Pro V1 in Utah, has moved from 86th to 75th.

MICHAEL BRENNAN ON HIS PRO V1 GOLF BALL

A longtime Pro V1 player, Michael Brennan topped a final leaderboard this week that featured Titleist golf ball players in 17 of the top 20 positions.
It’s the 28th win for players gaming a Titleist golf ball on the PGA Tour season, compared to five for the nearest competitor.
Brennan on his Pro V1 golf ball:
“For me, too much spin is more of an issue than too little spin. So that’s one of the reasons I play the V1 instead of the X is to drop spin with the long irons and the driver.”
“If the ball’s not spinning right or inconsistently, then doesn’t matter what you do. It’s just hard... I feel like if your irons are not spinning in the right windows, then it just is really hard to score if your distances get off and stuff like that. So I feel like that probably would be number one (priority) for me. Number two would be feel around the greens. I don't want to hit a 40 yarder that feels like it comes out knuckly and firm because that's just not a good feel. So that would probably be number two. And then number three would be driver spin. The driver’s important because I drive it well, but I also feel like it’s pretty easy to configure a driver to kind of work around something like that.”
“I love the feel of the Pro V1, probably because I’ve just been playing it for so long. It’s softer than the X. So to me, I’ve kind of gotten accustomed to that soft feel. And I think around the greens, the softness is huge for me. It doesn’t feel clicky at all. I just feel like the club really grips on and grabs the ball. And so that’s kind of what I'm looking for when I’m hitting pitch shots and short little wedge shots around the green.”

TOUR-LEADING 16th VICTORY FOR TITLEIST DRIVERS; BRENNAN WINS WITH NEW GTS FAIRWAYS

Michael Brennan's win marked the 16th victory for players using Titleist drivers this season on the PGA Tour, more than any other brand.
In Brennan’s bag this week was his 9-degree GT3 gamer as well as a NEW 15-degree GTS prototype 3-wood and 21-degree GTS3 7-wood.

This week at Yokohama Country Club, Brennan leaned heavily on his GTS 3-wood while leading the field in Driving Accuracy at 91.67%.
Said Brennan after his win Sunday: “I started playing this 3-wood I think at Colonial this year, which was in Ft. Worth. It’s been great. I feel like the spin consistency is better with that 3-wood for me. So when I toe the golf ball, it doesn’t go too, too far. When I heel it, it doesn't spin too much and it stays relatively consistent. I feel like there's a little bit of a right bias miss for me, which I think is good. I typically play a cut with the longer clubs, so knowing that it's not going to go left super often gives me freedom to swing hard.”
The now three-time Tour winner has had an exceptional season of driving the ball, as he ranks third on Tour in both SG: Off-the-Tee (+0.695 average) and Driving Distance (327.4 yards).
According to Titleist Tour Rep Nick Geyer, Brennan likes to hit several different kinds of shots with his GT3 driver, varying trajectories and adjusting tee height as he sees fit.
The GT3 has given him the perfect blend of speed and workability without sacrificing forgiveness, unlocking all the shots he needs out on the course.
Just under a year ago, in his first PGA Tour start as a professional, Brennan captured his maiden Tour win while gaming the same driver setup.
His performance that week marked the PGA Tour’s best driving performance of 2025, as he gained +7.614 strokes on the field off the tee.
The Wake Forest alum added his NEW GTS fairways to the bag earlier this year at the Charles Schwab Challenge.
Brennan found that both models helped eliminate a left miss, and he loved the look at the address.
In addition to Brennan’s last two wins, the GTS 3W prototype fairway was also in Jackson Koivun’s bag for his debut win at the 3M Open.
Brennan’s NEW GTS3 7 wood model has also found the winner’s circle multiple times in 2026 with victories from Cameron Young (Cadillac Championship) and Russell Henley (Charles Schwab Challenge).
The GTS3 7-wood occupies a brand-new position in Titleist’s metalwood lineup, as prior generation ‘3’ fairway models were not available in lofts higher than 18 degrees.

BRENNAN WINS AGAIN WITH BLENDED SET OF TITLEIST IRONS

Of the Titleist Brand Ambassadors currently playing on the PGA Tour, approximately 80 percent are playing blended sets of at least two Titleist iron models, demonstrating the importance of custom fitting and optimization throughout the bag.
Among those players is Michael Brennan, who won again Sunday with a blended set of T100 long irons and 620 CB short irons — a setup that combines precision-focused scoring irons with more forgiving and higher-launching long irons.

BRENNAN WINS WITH FULL SET OF VOKEYS

For the third time in his career, Michael Brennan brought four Vokey Design wedges to the winner’s circle on the PGA Tour:

The setup included his 60-degree M Grind lob wedge, which Brennan added to the bag for the first time at the Wyndham Championship following a session with Vokey Tour Rep Aaron Dill that Tuesday at Sedgefield Country Club.

Brennan, who had been playing the narrower, lower-bounce T Grind, wanted to test some options that would perform well on the difficult greenside conditions that week.
The 60.08M ended up producing better contact off the grainy Bermuda grass, which helped minimize potential misses and instill more confidence on his way to victory that week.
The all-around performance of the M Grind — which features a crescent-shaped sole that provides a balance of greenside versatility and bounce to reduce excessive digging — was further highlighted this week on Yokohama’s Zoysia grass.
Brennan finished the week T3 in Scrambling, getting up-and-down on 14 of 18 attempts (78%).

BRENNAN ROLLING WITH SCOTTY CAMERON GOLO MID-MALLET PUTTER

Michael Brennan kept it rolling on the greens with his Scotty Cameron Super Select GOLO 6 tour prototype putter, averaging 1.7 putts per GIR for the week.
Having won his first Tour title with a Phantom 7.2 tour prototype, Brennan was looking to switch things up on the greens earlier this season.
He moved to his current gamer at the Valspar Championship in March after being drawn to the softer, rounder GOLO shape and the way his new gamer swung.
In winning the Wyndham Championship, Brennan gained nearly nine shots on the field with his putting (+8.958), good for second in the field, led in Feet of Putts Made (443 feet, 10 inches) and ranked T2 in Putts per GIR (1.63).
Since the switch, Brennan has improved almost 90 spots in Strokes Gained: Putting, currently sitting 73rd (+0.085).

DP WORLD TOUR | Open de España presented by Madrid

Titleist Brand Ambassador Grant Forrest got up-and-down for birdie on the 72nd hole to win by one shot and capture his third career DP World Tour title.

With the victory, Forrest earns an invitation to the 2027 Masters and an exemption to the 155th Open Championship at St Andrews.
Forrest’s game was firing on all cylinders this week in Spain; he gained +6.84 shots on the field from tee to green (11th), with roughly half coming from his play off the tee (+3.4 strokes gained, 9th).
He also hit 76% GIR for the week (T6).
He ranked eighth in Strokes Gained: Putting, picking up nearly six more shots on the competition with his Scotty Cameron 009M blade (+5.96, 8th).
Forrest made a field-best 23 birdies en route to rounds of 66-67-67-70 in Madrid.
His victory sees him climb inside the top 30 in the Race to Dubai standings (27) with four events left on the schedule.

KORN FERRY TOUR | Korn Ferry Tour Championship

With clinical approach play and a lights-out putting performance, Titleist Brand Ambassador Austin Hitt broke through for his first career Korn Ferry Tour victory and secured his PGA Tour card for 2027.

Gaming his all-Titleist setup, Hitt made four birdies and an eagle on Sunday to close in 66 and win the KFT season finale by two shots.
He gained +3.696 shots with his approach play (8th) and nearly eight shots on the greens (+7.976, 2nd) with his Scotty Cameron Squareback 2 putter.
He led the field in Putts per GIR (1.49) and ranked second in average feet of putts made (100’ 2”).
Hitt made a field-best 26 birdies to go along with an eagle over the four rounds.
He finished No. 6 in the KFT Points List after starting the week at No. 22.

Titleist was the #1 ball among the Korn Ferry Tour’s 2026 graduating class, with 12 playing a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, compared to three for the nearest competitor.
In total, 80% of players competing on the KFT this season played a Titleist golf ball, more than seven times the nearest competitor (10%).

Austin Smotherman Notches First Career Win at the Bank of Utah Championship, New 2027 Pro V1 And Pro V1x Golf Balls Begin Global Validation Phase

In total control of his Pro V1x golf ball from tee to green, Austin Smotherman went low in Utah to win his first career PGA Tour title by two shots and lead a one-through-six finish for Titleist golf ball players.

Smotherman jumped out to the lead on Friday after he followed up a first-round 63 by matching his career low with a 62.
He kept it going over the weekend and never looked back, ball-striking his way to a breakthrough victory.
Over four rounds at Black Desert Resort, Smotherman picked up more than 10 strokes on the field from tee to green, gaining over five off the tee (+5.213, 2nd) and nearly another five with his approach play (+4.962, 7th).
He hit 89% greens in regulation (2nd) for the week, helping set himself up for a field-best 32 birdies.
Smotherman’s ball-striking has been world-class this season, as he ranks 8th on Tour in Strokes Gained: Approach (+0.637 average per round) and 5th in GIR (71.9%) overall.

Finishing runner-up alone at 24 under was Titleist Brand Ambassador Doug Ghim, who was making his first start after moving to the new 2027 Pro V1x.
Ghim led the field in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee (+5.705) and ranked sixth in Strokes Gained: Around the Green (+3.137).

The champion put on a clinic off the tee this week, gaining +5.213 strokes on the field to rank second.
His approach play was similarly elite, as he hit 64 of 72 greens in regulation (89%, 2nd) while gaining +4.972 shots (7th).
Around the greens, he scrambled at a 75% clip (T11) getting up and down for par on six of eight attempts.

The transition from player testing to tournament play, however, has already begun.
Four players who eagerly awaited their first opportunity to tee up the 2027 models got the chance at the Biltmore Championship Asheville, the opening event of the PGA Tour’s FedExCup Fall season.
That group included Neal Shipley, whose move to the new Pro V1 led to both his career-best round (62 in Round 2) and finish (T3) on the PGA Tour.
This past week, the group of early adopters grew, with more 2027 Pro V1 and Pro V1x models going into play at the PGA Tour's Bank of Utah Championship, the LPGA’s LOTTE Championship and the DP World Tour’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Robert MacIntyre was one of the latest players to convert, teeing up the new Pro V1 for the first time this past week in Scotland before finishing T6.
The new model initially caught MacIntyre’s attention during a prototype testing session with Titleist’s Director of Tour Research & Validation Fordie Pitts earlier this year at Harbour Town during his Tuesday practice round at the RBC Heritage.

DP WORLD TOUR | Alfred Dunhill Links Championship

Adrian Meronk (Pro V1) closed in 4-under 68 on the Old Course to earn his fifth career DP World Tour victory.

Meronk shot rounds of 71-66-63-68 to finish at 20 under in Scotland and win by two shots.
Nobody made more birdies over the four days than Meronk (25, T1).
He also added an eagle to his total during his 9-under 63 third round, which tied for the low round of the tournament.
Finishing T6 at 16 under was Robert MacIntyre, who made the move to the 2027 Pro V1 this week after testing the new model at the Titleist Performance Centre at Woburn (UK) last week.
Seventy-five percent of competitors this week in St Andrews teed up a Titleist golf ball model.

Hiroshi Iwata (Pro V1x) birdied the 72nd hole to win his ninth career JGTO title by one shot.

Iwata made 26 birdies over rounds of 66-65-64-72.

JLPGA | Japan Women’s Open Golf Championship

Jiyai Shin (Pro V1) prevailed on the third playoff hole to capture her 30th career JLPGA victory and sixth JLPGA major title.

Shin’s win today saw her complete the career grand slam of JLPGA majors, having previously won the World Ladies Championship Salonpas Cup (2018, 2025), the JLPGA Championship (2018) and the JLPGA Tour Championship Ricoh Cup.
She also has two majors on the LPGA tour, having won the AIG Women’s Open twice (2008, 2012).
Her mark of 30 tour wins unlocks lifetime membership on the JLPGA.
On Sunday, Shin made three back-nine birdies to close in 66, her fourth sub-70 round of the week. She was one of only two players to reach double digits under par (11 under).

Jeunghun Wang (Pro V1x) carded a bogey-free 4-under 68 on Sunday to break through for his first career KPGA title with a three-shot win in Yeoju.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Tom Kim closed in 6-under 64 to clinch a three-stroke victory in the men’s singles competition at the Asian Games.

Gaming his all-Titleist setup, Kim birdied four holes during his final round front nine (No. 2, 4, 6, 8) before adding another birdie on No. 11 and an eagle on No. 13 to pull away from the field and claim the top spot on the podium.
Kim’s victory at Kasugai comes on the heels of his stellar performance at the Presidents Cup where he earned four points (4-1-0) for the Internationals. It was the highest point total of any player on both sides.

Season after season, more than 70% of players on the PGA Tour choose to play a Titleist golf ball. That percentage only increases among those competing for the game’s biggest amateur titles such as the NCAA D1 Championship, U.S. Amateur and U.S. Junior.

At the same time, the Titleist Golf Ball R&D team continues to push forward, collaborating with the world’s best players to test prototype technologies and gather insights that provide the foundation for the Titleist golf ball development process.

“Everything we do is driven by the desire to better understand player needs and translate those insights into meaningful performance improvements,” says Fordie Pitts, Director of Tour Research & Validation.

Today at the Baycurrent Classic in Japan, the next generation Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls begin a key global validation phase that will span the world’s professional tours for the next several months, providing the game’s best players the opportunity to evaluate the new 2027 models under tournament conditions.

This is the next step in a multi-year development cycle, following intensive on-course testing that has been underway since the Arnold Palmer Invitational in early March. That week at Bay Hill, Adam Scott, Ryan Gerard, Jordan Spieth and Harris English each tested final candidates during their Tuesday practice rounds, providing feedback to Titleist reps after every shot.

Player after player — from Justin Thomas to Lottie Woad to Matt Fitzpatrick to Yana Wilson to Viktor Hovland — engaged in the same process over the following weeks and months, as the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x designs moved from prototypes to production.

Scotty Cameron adds to his family of tour-proven mallet designs with the new Phantom 9.5R model, building upon the success of one of the most popular Scotty Cameron putter setups this season on the PGA TOUR.

Last month, Jackson Koivun switched to a Phantom 9.5R the week before earning his first PGA TOUR victory, posting 25 under to win the 3M Open by three shots in just his third professional start. “He’s always wanted to feel flow in the putter,” said Scotty Cameron Tour Rep Brad Cloke on Young's initial move to the 9.5R. “We’ve started in face-balanced mallets for him and we’ve kind of worked our way down to a point where he’s felt comfortable enough to feel the toe flow the way he wants it and get the release of the putter that he wants.”
Said Young: “I just felt like the middle of the face was more apparent to me with a little bit more [face] rotation and a little bit more release into the ball. I felt like I just struck it more in the middle, which kind of helped my speed, made it roll a little tighter... I feel like I've putted better and better as my mechanics keep improving and as I get more familiar with it.”
Finding the right alignment feature on his putter was also key for Young, who had previously been playing a Phantom 5.5 with no sightline. Young marks his Pro V1x Double Dot golf ball with a black line that he matches up with his putter for precise alignment on the greens.
“It’s just a really, really nice clean look,” he said on his 9.5R. “The long line helps with my alignment.”

It wasn’t long before other players began testing — and finding success with — 9.5R models. Jackson Koivun captured his first professional victory at the 3M Open with his 9.5R gamer, having put it in play the week prior following a session with Scotty Cameron Tour Rep Drew Page. According to Page, it was clear that Koivun could benefit from more toe flow, and the first build they tested was the 9.5R. It checked all the boxes, immediately delivering more consistent start lines while giving Koivun (who had played a 9R model in college) a familiar visual.

"There was no reason to test any other models,” said Page.
In his next start, Koivun rolled in the 13-foot winning putt with his 9.5R to become a PGA TOUR champion for the first time.
“This was a familiar shape for me,” Koivun said. “The rounded edges are great. Just gives it a soft look that almost helps me line it up a little better, and then it just sits nicely on the ground.”

The setup continues to earn its way into players’ bags at the game’s highest level:

That list includes one of the PGA TOUR’s Top 70, who made the move to 9.5R two weeks ago for the first event of the FedExCup Playoffs.
Earlier this summer at the Travelers Championship, the 2025 U.S. Open champion switched to a 9.5R (flow neck) setup.
After seeing Cameron Young’s success on the greens, Justin Thomas asked to test his exact setup at the Truist Championship, eventually putting a backup putter initially made for Young in play for much of the 2026 season.
“What happens a lot on tour is players see a shape or they'll pull a someone’s putter, and they'll hit some putts with it, and then they'll take interest in it. And then that's kind of how stuff grows,” Cloke said.
Phantom 9.5R’s influence has also stretched to the elite amateur game. The world’s current top-ranked amateur Preston Stout won the 2026 NCAA Division I Men’s Individual Championship earlier this year with his Phantom 9.5R, which has remained in the bag throughout his multiple PGA TOUR starts this summer.

Wyndham Clark Takes Home His Third Win of the Season at the BMW Championship

Trusting his Pro V1x to a birdie-birdie-birdie finish at Bellerive, Wyndham Clark sealed his third victory of the season Sunday in St. Louis, holding off the PGA TOUR’s best for a three-shot victory heading into next week’s TOUR Championship.

He posted rounds of 64-64-65-70 to finish the week at 17 under par.
Clark, who has played a Pro V1x golf ball for all six of his of his PGA TOUR wins, including his 2023 and 2026 U.S. Open titles, gained over eight shots on the field tee to green (+8.048/2nd) with more than five of them coming on approach shots (+5.641/2nd).
Clark was locked in with his Pro V1x down the stretch, setting himself up for three birdie putts under 18 feet.
From 236 yards on the par-3 16th, his ball finished 16 feet, 8 inches from the cup.
His third shot on the par-5 17th from 145 yards left him 13 feet, 4 inches. From 155 yards in the left rough on 18, he rolled his Pro V1x to 17 feet, 3 inches.
Clark, who moved to No. 3 in the FedExCup standings entering next week’s finale, finished the week seconds in Proximity to Hole, averaging 28 feet, 5 inches, while hitting 76% GIR (55 of 72, T4).
He was also T3 in Scrambling at 76% (13 of 17).
It was a 1-2 finish for Titleist Pro V1x players, with runner-up Patrick Cantlay earning his way into the TOUR Championship with rounds of 67-65-66-68.
Cantlay led the field in SG: Tee-to-Green at +13.144, including a field-best +7.022 on approach and +3.527 around the green (2nd).
Each of the three players who moved into the FedEx top 30, earning a spot in next week’s TOUR Championship, played Titleist golf ball: Patrick Cantlay (Pro V1x), Gary Woodland (Pro V1x Double Dot) and Robert MacIntrye (Pro V1x).

DP WORLD TOUR | Nexo Championship

Titleist Brand Ambassador Scott Jamieson (Pro V1x) closed out his second DP World Tour victory with a 5-under 67 on Sunday.

Gaming a Pro V1x golf ball, NEW GTS driver, T-Series irons and Vokey SM11 wedges, the Scotsman made four birdies over a five-hole stretch (Nos. 7-11) to separate from the field and claim the title on home soil.
Jamieson made 18 birdies over rounds of 70-71-69-67 in Aberdeen and was the only player to finish at double digits under par.
In total, 105 competitors teed up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball (76%), more than six times the nearest competitor (16).
Titleist was also the most played driver (44%), iron (38%) and wedge (51%) for the week in Scotland.

Yuta Sugiura (Pro V1x) birdied his final three holes Sunday to win by one and clinch his first career Korn Ferry Tour victory.

Sugiura posted rounds of 62-68-64-65 while tallying 30 birdies (1st) and one eagle in Kansas City.
His week was highlighted by a 10-under 62 in Round 1 that included nine birdies and an eagle.
Titleist Brand Ambassador Austin Hitt (Pro V1) was dialed in on Sunday as well, making 10 birdies and one eagle to card 12-under 60 and finish solo second.
Sugiura led a 1-2-3 finish for Titleist golf ball players, with 126 players (81%) overall teeing up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than eight times the nearest competitor (15).
Titleist was also the most played driver (36%), iron (34%), wedge (58%) and putter (36%) for the week in Kansas City.

PGA TOUR AMERICAS | Manitoba Open

Titleist Brand Ambassador Daniel Svärd prevailed in a playoff to win in just his fourth career start on the PGA TOUR Americas.

The 23-year-old earned his PGA TOUR Americas card via his finish of 19th in the PGA TOUR U rankings following his senior year at Northwestern.
This week, Svärd hit 76% GIR (T7), helping set himself up for 20 birdies (T2).
He also scrambled at a 71% clip (4th) while only surrendering six bogeys over the four rounds (T2).
The Swede climbs 104 spots on the PGA TOUR Americas Points List with the win, all the way up to No. 16.

Steven Alker (Pro V1) came home in 30 on Sunday before birdieing the first extra hole to win his 12th career Champions Tour title.

Hitting 85% GIR (T5) for the week, Alker shot rounds of 68-61-65 to finish at 16 under for the week, tying him with Y.E. Yang (Pro V1x).
Nobody made more birdies over the three days than Alker (19, T1), who also added an eagle to his total during his 9-under 60 third round, which tied for the low round of the tournament.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Kyorim Seo (Pro V1) made birdie on the first playoff hole to win in back-to-back weeks on the KLPGA and secure her fourth victory of the 2026 season.

With precision ball-striking and total confidence on the greens, Titleist Brand Ambassador Michael Brennan charged into the FedExCup Playoffs with his second PGA TOUR victory, playing the weekend in 13 under (63-64) to win by three shots.

Gaming a Pro V1 golf ball and a full bag of Titleist equipment, Brennan combined +8.772 strokes gained tee to green (5th) with another +8.690 strokes gained on the greens (2nd) to finish the week with a field-best 25 birdies and an eagle.
He punctuated the victory with a final birdie on the 72nd hole, rolling in his Pro V1 from 13 feet, 2 inches, with his Scotty Cameron putter.
On a pressure-packed Sunday, no one hit it closer to the hole than Brennan, who led the field in Proximity to Hole, averaging 18 feet, 4 inches.
That included four approaches within 9 feet during his five straight birdies from Nos. 4 through 8 on the front nine Sunday, including his tee shot on the par-3 6th which finished 6 inches from the hole:

A longtime Pro V1 player, Michael Brennan was among the 76% of players who teed up a Titleist golf ball this week in Greensboro, leading a 1-2-3 finish for Titleist golf ball players:

- “For me, too much spin is more of an issue than too little spin. So that's one of the reasons I play the V1 instead of the X is to drop spin with the long irons and the driver.”
- “If the ball's not spinning right or inconsistently, then doesn't matter what you do. It's just hard... I feel like if your irons are not spinning in the right windows, then it just is really hard to score if your distances get off and stuff like that. So I feel like that probably would be number one (priority) for me. Number two would be feel around the greens. I don't want to hit a 40 yarder that feels like it comes out knuckly and firm because that's just not a good feel. So that would probably be number two. And then number three would be driver spin. The driver’s important because I drive it well, but I also feel like it’s pretty easy to configure a driver to kind of work around something like that.”

On Thursday at the Wyndham Championship, 68 players teed off with a Titleist driver — 46% of the field and 32 more than the nearest competitor.
That group includes Michael Brennan, who on Sunday closed out the PGA TOUR’s regular season with the 14th victory for Titleist driver players so far in 2026.
In Brennan’s bag this week was his 9-degree GT3 gamer as well as a NEW 15-degree GTS prototype 3-wood and 21-degree GTS3 7-wood, a metalwood setup that helped him gain +4.856 strokes off the tee (3rd) over four rounds at Sedgefield Country Club.

The now two-time TOUR winner has had an exceptional season of driving the ball, as he ranks second on TOUR in SG: Off-the-Tee (+0.674 average) and second in Driving Distance (326.3 yards).
According to Titleist Tour Rep Nick Geyer, Brennan likes to hit several different kinds of shots with his GT3, varying trajectories and adjusting tee height as he sees fit.
The GT3 has given him the perfect blend of speed and workability without sacrificing forgiveness, unlocking all the shots he needs out on the course.
Just over nine months ago, in his first PGA TOUR start as a professional, Brennan captured his maiden TOUR win while gaming the same driver setup.
His performance that week marked the PGA TOUR’s best driving performance of 2025, as he gained +7.614 strokes on the field off the tee.
The Wake Forest alum’s NEW GTS fairways were dialed in this week as well, both of which went into play for the first time at the Charles Schwab Challenge.
Brennan found that both models helped eliminate a left miss, and he loved the look at the address.
On Sunday, he striped his final tee shot of the week down the middle of the fairway with his 3-wood, leaving no doubt and setting up one last birdie.
It’s the second win in three weeks for the GTS 3W prototype fairway, which was also in Jackson Koivun's, bag for his debut win at the 3M Open.
Brennan’s NEW GTS3 7 wood model has also found the winner’s circle multiple times in 2026 with victories from Cameron Young (Cadillac Championship) and Russell Henley (Charles Schwab Challenge).
The GTS3 7-wood occupies a brand-new position in Titleist’s metalwood lineup, as prior generation ‘3’ fairway models were not available in lofts higher than 18 degrees.

BRENNAN WINS AGAIN WITH BLENDED SET OF TITLEIST IRONS

Of the Titleist Brand Ambassadors currently playing on the PGA TOUR, approximately 80 percent are playing blended sets of at least two Titleist iron models, demonstrating the importance of custom fitting and optimization throughout the bag.

The 60-degree M Grind lob wedge was a new addition to Brennan's setup this week, following a session with Vokey Tour Rep Aaron Dill on Tuesday at Sedgefield Country Club.
Brennan, who had played the narrower, lower-bounce T Grind last week in Detroit, wanted to test some options that would perform well on the difficult greenside conditions this week.
The 60.08M ended up producing better contact off the grainy Bermuda grass, which helped minimize potential misses and instill more confidence, helping him rank T16 for the week in Scrambling after getting up-and-down for par on 12 of 18 attempts (67%).

BRENNAN ROLLING WITH SCOTTY CAMERON GOLO MID-MALLET PUTTER

Michael Brennan had it rolling on the greens this week with his Scotty Cameron Super Select GOLO 6 tour prototype putter.
He gained nearly nine shots on the field with his putting (+8.958), good for second in the field, led in Feet of Putts Made (443 feet, 10 inches) and ranked T2 in Putts per GIR (1.63).
He gained a career-best +3.201 strokes putting in Round 2 and then bettered it in Round 3 with +3.201.
Having previously played — and won with — a Phantom 7.2 tour prototype, Brennan was looking to switch things up on the greens earlier this season.
He switched to his current gamer at the Valspar Championship in March after being drawn to the softer, rounder GOLO shape and the way his new gamer swung.

KORN FERRY TOUR | Pinnacle Bank Championship

In just his sixth career Korn Ferry Tour start, Titleist Brand Ambassador and PGA TOUR University alum Frankie Harris closed in 12-under 59 to storm up the leaderboard before winning in extra holes.

Playing behind Harris was Alistair Docherty (Pro V1), who matched Harris’ 72-hole total by birdieing each of the last four holes of regulation.
The 23-year-old Harris prevailed on the second playoff hole with a par, earning his first career Korn Ferry Tour title.
For the week in Omaha, Harris gained over 3.5 shots on the field off the tee (+3.761, 9th) and over 5.5 shots with his approach play (+5.544, 7th).

Twenty-four days into his professional career, Titleist Brand Ambassador Jackson Koivun closed out his first PGA TOUR victory at the 3M Open with clinical ball-striking and total confidence, setting a new tournament scoring record at 25 under par.

Koivun, playing a Pro V1 golf ball and 14 Titleist clubs, surged into the lead on Saturday with a 10-under 61, capped by the first back-nine 28 in tournament history, and never looked back.
He played his final 42 holes without a bogey, posting rounds of 64-68-61-66 to win by three shots.
“That’s what we train for. That's the position we all strive to be in even through college. It's like you want to be leading a PGA TOUR event and that's what you train for, you work for. Once you're finally in it, you’ve just got to keep your head down and commit to every single golf shot. Fortunately, it worked out for me today,” he said.
The 21-year-old, in just his third start as a pro, led the field with over nine (+9.363) strokes gained on approach shots and an average Proximity of 27 feet, 8 inches (T1). (Every player in the top 10 of SG: Approach also played a Titleist golf ball.)
Koivun hit 85% GIR (T3) and got up-and-down 82% of the time (4th), including each of his three attempts on Sunday.
Koivun was also lights-out with his Scotty Cameron putter, gaining +6.395 shots (3rd) on the field with over 368 feet of putts made, including his final par putt from 13 feet, 9 inches Sunday to officially become a PGA TOUR champion.

“I just do a plain black line on it. I line up pretty much every putt I hit. I'm pretty diligent with this process. This (an Ultra Fine Point) is the only Sharpie I'll use because it makes a pretty straight line. I like to fill in the line, make it as straight as I can. It almost matches the width of the line on my putter. So it lines up really nice visually. I've been doing this for a while now. I know it takes a little longer than some other guys, but I think it's worth it.
“I mark the balls on the putting green before I putt. I've almost built it into my routine now. Takes about five minutes, mark three golf balls. It's a diligent process and I think it's a perfect line every time.”

This week in Minnesota, the 21-year-old gained over two-and-a-half shots off the tee (+2.598), ranking 16th.
He hit 79% fairways in regulation (T8), including 13 of 14 on Sunday, and his final birdie of the week came on the 301-yard drivable par-4 16th, where he found the putting surface off the tee for the second straight day.
Koivun gamed the same GT2 8-degree driver in helping his Auburn Tigers to their second national championship in three years, but his 3-wood was a newer addition to the bag.
Early in the week at the U.S. Open at Shinnecock, his final start before turning professional, Koivun worked with the Titleist tour team to dial in a NEW GTS 3W prototype fairway.
He immediately saw exceptionally consistent spin rates with improved directional control.
His gamer 3-wood produced one of the shots of the tournament this week when he called on it to attack his 309-yard approach on the par-5 12th during Saturday’s third round.
Koivun flushed it, his Pro V1 landing just before the front edge of the green and releasing out to 12 feet, 3 inches.
He rolled it in for his first of two eagles on the side, coming home in 28 to post 61 and open up a three-shot lead heading into Sunday.

KOIVUN IS CLINICAL WITH BLENDED TITLEIST IRON SETUP

Jackson Koivun put on a clinic with his approach play all week long, leading the field in Strokes Gained: Approach (+9.363) and finishing T1 in Proximity (27’ 8”).

“I've used blades forever now,” explained Koivun. “I just love the way they look, how they perform. They get my spin right. Some say they may be a little harder to hit, but I think it's worth it for the performance factor of it. And I love these things. You can shape them a little more... and I think that's so worth it to be able to use these things. I think I definitely have a creativity factor. I try to hit the ball pretty straight, but if I need to, I can take out one of these things and hit any shot I need to.”
After his 620 MB prototype 5-iron, Koivun moves to T100, which unlocks more forgiveness and confidence from distance:
“I'd been playing a [620] CB 4, but I was just trying to get a little more extra loft on it. It's been nothing but good to me. Very versatile. Get a little more height on it. It's been great. It looks great. It's definitely a little bigger head. The top line's just as thin, but I've got no problem looking down on this and being confident. Obviously a blade's going to be a little smaller, a little harder to hit, but being from 230 yards and knowing you got a little bigger face behind it, it's always good.”
Similarly, Koivun’s T250 utility 3-iron affords him tremendous versatility and forgiveness, both off the tee and into greens:
“I think just having that forgiveness from being so far away. I mean, if you're 250 out, you're just trying to hit the green. Obviously you want to be precise, but you’re gaining more swing speed the higher up you go. I mean, and the ball's going to start going a little more offline. And I think having that little extra forgiveness is just kind of like a little blanket of comfort to be able to execute the shot.”

KOIVUN WINS WITH FOUR VOKEY SM11 WEDGES IN THE BAG

KOIVUN ROLLING IN 2nd START WITH PHANTOM 9.5R PUTTER

Gaming his Scotty Cameron Phantom 9.5R tour prototype putter, Jackson Koivun rolled in his 13-foot, 9-inch par putt on the last to put the finishing touches on a three-shot win and an outstanding putting performance.
The newly minted pro gained +6.395 shots (3rd) on the field with the flatstick while averaging 92 feet of putts made per round (T9).
Said Koivun: “I’ve used a lot of different putters in my time and I love the Phantom because it's obviously got the shape and the forgiveness of a mallet, but the way it strokes and feels, it feels like a blade with the way the weighting is set. And I think especially with short putts, mallets are the way to go. A little biased, but they have a lot of forgiveness with speed control and line control.”
Koivun made several clutch putts on Sunday to maintain his advantage on the field, including a 14-foot, 6-inch par save on the ninth hole.
“I think the putt on 9 might be the biggest putt I made all week,” he said. “Scoreboard was right there and I saw exactly how I stood. If I missed that, then I only had a two-shot lead where last time I checked I had a five-shot lead. So making that was huge for my momentum, just helped me keep it rolling on the back nine.”
This week was just his second start with his new gamer, having first put it in play at the ISCO Championship.
Early that week, Koivun approached Scotty Cameron tour rep Drew Page looking to test some new options on the greens.
According to Page, it was clear that Koivun could benefit from more toe flow.
The first build they tested was the 9.5R — the same setup gamed by Cameron Young and Justin Thomas — which offered a familiar head shape to Koivun, having previously played a Phantom 9R in college.
Straight away, the 9.5R checked all the boxes for Koivun, immediately delivering more consistent start lines.
"There was no reason to test any other models,” said Page on the session.
That week, Koivun finished T10 while gaining over two-and-a-half shots on the greens.
Four competitive rounds later, he’s a PGA TOUR winner for the first time.

AMATEUR | U.S. Junior Amateur Championship

Gaming his Pro V1 golf ball and equipment setup that included his GT driver and fairway, T-Series irons and Vokey Design wedges, the winner of the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship cruised to a 6-and-5 victory in the 36-hole final.

The champion made six birdies in the morning 18 to take a 1-up lead into the break before carding seven more birdies in the afternoon to secure the title.
The victory earns him exemptions into next month’s U.S. Amateur and the 2027 U.S. Open.
Overall, 207 players out of 264 (78%) teed up a Titleist golf ball at Saucon Valley, including seven of the eight quarterfinalists.
Titleist was also the most played driver (46%), iron (44%) and wedge (57%).

Gaming a Pro V1 golf ball and Scotty Cameron putter, the Evans Scholar Invitational champion won by three shots to clinch his first Korn Ferry Tour victory in just his fourth career start.

He closed in style Sunday with an 8-under 63 that featured six birdies and an eagle.
The champion was in complete control of his Pro V1 golf ball all week long, leading the field in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green (+14.248) while recording 29 birdies (T1) and surrendering only two bogeys (T1).
He carded four rounds of 65 or lower (65-63-64-63) for the week.
The winner navigated the Glen Club’s greens expertly with his Scotty Cameron Mid Sur putter, gaining +5.712 shots (4th) while rolling in over 342 feet of putts over the four rounds.

Etienne Papineau (Pro V1) made par on the second playoff hole to capture his second career PGA TOUR-sanctioned title in Canada.

Papineau posted rounds of 70-64-63-64 over four days at TPC Toronto, birdieing three of his final six holes Sunday to force a playoff.
His week was highlighted by a flawless 7-under 63 on Saturday that included two eagles and three birdies.

AMATEUR | Pacific Coast Amateur

Titleist Introduces NEW GTS300 Mini Driver

Newest addition to GTS metalwood family provides distance and control with increased stability

Expanding upon the tour-proven lineup of GTS drivers and fairways, Titleist unveils the NEW GTS300 mini driver, featuring a larger, more forgiving design that delivers exceptional distance, control and versatility off both the tee and turf. The new model, which benefits from a 305cc clubhead volume, was heavily influenced by tour feedback, specifically from players like Justin Thomas and Cameron Young.

“We're always looking for feedback from the best players in the world,” said JJ Van Wezenbeeck, Titleist’s Senior Director of Club Promotions. “Both those players were really excited about GT280 and also had some commentary about potential performance improvements. As we worked through some prototypes with not only JT and Cam, but other tour players as well, we were able to gather valuable feedback and put that into GTS300.”

The result was a larger footprint and deeper center of gravity (CG) in GTS300, both of which worked to increase moment of inertia (MOI) for better stability and forgiveness. A forged L-Cup face design works to improve performance on low-face impacts, while the new model’s dual-weighting system allows fitters and golfers to fine tune launch conditions.

"The main goal in development was to make GTS300 a more forgiving mini driver,” said Stephanie Luttrell, Titleist’s Senior Director of Metalwood Development. “The increase in volume and shift in CG gave us approximately 15–20% greater inertia. At the same time, we still put a premium on versatility and performance off the turf with this club.”

Titleist's NEW GTS300 mini driver will be in golf shops worldwide beginning July 23.

GTS300 Technology Overview

More forgiving design

Driven by feedback from tour players and dedicated golfers alike, GTS300 features a larger 305cc head volume and a deeper center of gravity (CG) to increase inertia for improved performance on off-center strikes.

With GTS300’s composite crown design, which afforded extra discretionary weight savings for more optimal mass allocation, Titleist engineers were able to precisely position CG to hit their performance goals and preferred launch characteristics.

Despite an increase in GTS300’s volume compared to its predecessor in the GT280 mini driver, the two models share the same face height to maintain high performance off the turf.

“When we originally built GT280, a lot of it was trying to make sure that we were looking for as much performance off the ground as we could,” explained Van Wezenbeeck. “Players started saying, ‘hey, I can actually hit this off the ground really well. I'm looking for some more forgiveness.’ And so there was an opportunity for R&D to make the head slightly bigger and increase MOI while still maintaining all the off the ground performance.”

Forged L-Cup face

Like GTS fairways, GTS300 benefits from a forged L-Cup face design, which features a high-strength ATI 425 titanium insert that wraps around the bottom of the clubface. L-Cup works to preserve ball speed and launch conditions on low-face impacts, a key area of focus for Titleist engineers when targeting improved performance on shots off the turf. The L-Cup design can also help maintain a more player-preferred sound and feel off the clubface on those strikes.

Dual-weighting system

GTS300 offers a dual-weighting system with forward-aft (back) flat weight adjustability, allowing fitters to fine tune CG position. The heavier, 11-gram weight positioned forward and the lighter, 3-gram weight in the aft can help lower spin and launch, while flipping the two flat weights can increase spin, launch and stability.

GTS On Tour

Justin Thomas was one of the first players on tour to game a GTS300 mini driver, first adding it to the bag at the Charles Schwab Challenge in May. According to Van Wezenbeeck, Thomas regularly plays his GTS300 on courses that don’t call for many 3-woods off the deck. Having the mini driver as a reliable secondary option off the tee that flies further than his 3-wood then allows Thomas to play his 46-inch shaft in his GTS2 driver, which unlocks even more distance.

In addition to Thomas, over 60 players on the PGA TOUR have moved into a NEW GTS2, GTS3 or GTS4 driver since the new models were first introduced in March. That list also includes Cameron Young (GTS3), J.T. Poston (GTS3), Robert MacIntyre (GTS2), Bud Cauley (GTS2), Jordan Spieth (GTS2) and Tom Kim (GTS3).

On the LPGA, Lottie Woad (GTS3), Patty Tavatanakit (GTS2), Jin Hee Im (GTS3) and Nataliya Guseva (GTS3) are among the group of players who have added GTS to the bag.

Kim combined a field-best +12.22 strokes gained tee to green with another +3.66 on the greens on his way to rounds of 65-66-68-64, totaling 18 birdies and an eagle to just three bogeys.
He gained +3.079 shots (9th) off the tee and +8.13 shots (T2) on approach shots while hitting 82% GIR (T2).
Kim also led the field in Scrambling, getting up and down on 12 of 13 attempts (92.3%), including all four of his sand saves.

Tom Kim earned another PGA TOUR win for NEW GTS driver players, gaining over three shots on the field off the tee for the week in Scotland (+3.079, 9th).
On Sunday, Kim delivered under pressure with his GTS3, striping his tee shot on the 72nd hole 335 yards down the fairway to help close out his fourth PGA TOUR win.

Kim, who is among the over 65 players on the PGA TOUR who have converted to NEW GTS drivers, first moved to his GTS3 from his previous gamer at this year's Valero Texas Open.
In initial testing, he noticed greater spin consistency and an increase in ball speed compared to his prior setup, and GTS was producing a slight cut, his preferred shot shape.
Just a few starts later, Kim had also added a GTS3 3-wood and 5-wood to his setup, neither of which has left the bag since.
This week, Kim made an adjustment to the dual-weighting setups on both fairway metals, going from a more heel-weighted setup to neutral to dial in his desired start lines.

KIM ON HIS T100 IRONS

Tom Kim was surgical with his iron and wedge play this week, gaining over eight strokes on the field on approach (+8.131, 2nd) and a field-best +12.22 strokes from tee to green.
He also hit 82% greens in regulation over 72 holes (T2).

“I’ve been a T100 player for the longest time,” Kim said. “It’s just something I’ve always been comfortable with. It just gives you more forgiveness in the irons. It looks just so amazing, so simple, and when you set it up, it looks even better. It’s just spin control, ball flight control, trajectory control.”
“It’s something that I’ve loved, and I’ve never thought about changing to a CB or an MB. Never thought of it. So it’s, yeah... It’s a forever thing for me.”
Entering this week, Tom Kim ranked 11th on TOUR in 2026 in Strokes Gained: Approach, picking up over a half-shot on average per round (+0.562).

KIM LEADS FIELD IN SCRAMBLING WITH VOKEY WEDGES

Tom Kim was dialed in around the greens in Scotland, as he got up-and-down for par at a field-best 92% clip, converting 12 of 13 attempts including all four from the sand.
The most clutch up-and-down of all came on the 72nd hole, when he saved par from the rough over the back of the green to post the clubhouse lead at 17 under.
Each of Kim’s four PGA TOUR wins have come with a full set of Vokey Design wedges.
Said Kim: “Vokey wedges, ball flight control-wise, spin control-wise, are just very, very different from [competitive models]. When you hit a shot the way you want, it comes out the way you want. That’s what you want, especially with a wedge.”
This year, Kim has gone between a four-wedge setup and a three-wedge setup, having played the latter in his previous four starts dating back to the RBC Heritage.

KIM ROLLING ON GREENS WITH SCOTTY CAMERON BLADE

Tom Kim navigated Renaissance Golf Club’s greens expertly with his Scotty Cameron Newport 2-style blade putter, gaining +3.658 shots with the flatstick (20th) while rolling in over 296 feet of putts for the week.
He gained over two strokes on the field with his putter during Sunday's final round (+2.328, 6th).

While Kim has experimented with various blades and mallets over the last few years, he has been consistent with his current gamer since March of this year.
The putter he brought to the winner’s circle today in Scotland is the same putter that helped him capture his maiden PGA TOUR win at the 2022 Wyndham Championship.
His other two PGA TOUR wins were won with similar Scotty Cameron Newport 2-style setups.
“I’ve always putted my best with a blade,” Kim explained at the time. “I was using a mallet for a couple of years, but I’ve won a lot of my tournaments with a blade, and I wanted to come back, kind of use something natural. Scotty and Paul (Vizanko) really helped me with this piece and it looks great with the mint blue (paintfill).”

PGA TOUR / DP World Tour | ISCO Championship

Unshakeable down the stretch, Steven Fisk (Pro V1x) prevailed from a three-hole playoff to earn his second career PGA TOUR title.

Fisk opened the week with a 7-under 63 and followed with three more rounds of 68 or better (66-68-67).
On Sunday, he made three back-nine birdies to reach 16 under before recording pars on three extra trips around the 18th hole to become a two-time PGA TOUR winner.
Powering Fisk’s victory was exceptional ball-striking, as he gained +3.038 shots on the field off the tee (7th) and +4.305 shots with his approach play (11th).
He hit 76% greens in regulation (T10) for the week while getting his Pro V1x up-and-down at an 88% clip (3rd).

LPGA | The Amundi Evian Championship

Gaming a Scotty Cameron Phantom 11R OC tour prototype putter, the winner of The Amundi Evian Championship took home her second career LPGA major title just two weeks after securing her first.

On Sunday, her putter was clutch when she needed it most, draining a mid-range putt for birdie on the18th hole to tie for the lead and force a playoff.
Following regulation, the world No. 2 closed it out with a birdie on the first extra hole.
The champion, who also played the Phantom 11R OC in her first major triumph at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, needed only 24 putts in her 11-under 60 on Saturday, setting the mark for the lowest round ever recorded at a women’s major.
Having previously played a competitive model, the champion made the switch to Scotty Cameron in October 2025 at the BMW Ladies Championship and has gamed the Phantom 11R OC model for nearly every start since.

Zach Johnson (Pro V1x) closed in 2-under 68 to win by six, capturing his first Champions Tour major and third title of the 2026 season.

In total command throughout his four rounds of 68 or better (67-67-63-68) at Firestone, he made a field-best 23 birdies.
Johnson was dialed in on moving day, making seven birdies during a spotless 7-under 63 on Saturday.
In total, 58 players (74%) teed up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x at the Kaulig Companies Championship, more than five times the nearest competitor (10).

Thomas Ponder (Pro V1x) closed in 6-under 65 to win by three and secure his first career PGA TOUR Americas victory.

The American went low in New Brunswick, carding rounds of 63-66-62-65 while leading the field with 29 birdies.
His week was highlighted by a nine-birdie performance in a flawless 9-under 62 on Saturday.
The top 10 finishers on Sunday’s final leaderboard were gaming a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball.

KLPGA | High1 Resort Ladies Open 2026

Titleist Brand Ambassador Jiu Ko won in convincing fashion, going wire-to-wire with a five-shot margin of victory.

Ko, whose winning setup included her Pro V1 golf ball, NEW GTS2 metals, T100 irons and Vokey SM11 wedges, opened with a bogey-free 9-under 63 and never looked back, eventually finishing the week at 22 under.

AMATEUR | U.S. Adaptive Open

Titleist has been the most played iron for 21 of the last 22 seasons on the PGA TOUR, including each of the last 12.

A select number of players across the worldwide professional tours game T-Series Black irons, including Cameron Smith, who was one of the first to ask for a black finish on his Titleist irons. Smith plays a setup of T250 and T100 Black irons.

Vokey SM11 Technology

Precise CG positioning: In previous Vokey wedge designs, center of gravity (CG) positions varied slightly across grinds within the same loft due to differences in sole widths and geometries. Now, CG placements are matched within a given loft, independent of grind. This allows for more consistent flight and feel while eliminating a variable in the fitting process.

On the first hole of a Monday morning playoff, Viktor Hovland stuck his Pro V1 to inside 7 feet to set up the tournament-winning birdie and close out his eighth PGA TOUR title.

Hovland posted rounds of 65-61-64-69 over four days at TPC River Highlands, birdieing three of his final six holes Sunday to force an all-Pro V1 playoff with the OWGR No. 1.

“I like the Pro V1 because the ball flight tends to be a little bit more penetrating. It doesn't spin as much as the Pro V1x. What it does for me into the wind particularly, I can still launch it fairly high, but it's not overspinning. It's actually flying through the wind pretty penetrating, so on really firm greens, I can launch it up in the air and still not lose all my distance into the wind.”
“The spin is very important. If I’m hitting a full 9 iron, I want the 9 iron to spin around 8,800 to 9,000 rpms. You need to hit a good shot, but if the spin’s not right, it’s not going to go the distance you need it to. I’ve always played the ball and love it, so, there’s no reason to change.”
“[Pro V1] gives me a lot of consistency around the greens. I like how it feels off the face. I like how I'm able to spin the ball around the greens, but I don't sacrifice anything to the full shots. When I hit a drive on a par five and I'm trying to get after it, I don't have to worry about the spin creeping up too high. I can still hit a high launch with low spin – and then if I miss the green in two, I can still hit a short-sided shot with a lot of spin.
“So I think just the versatility is the key with the Pro V1 ball for me, and especially in the wind because we do play in a lot of wind. And I think that's kind of the biggest challenge. If you don't have a good ball in the wind, it really plays a big difference. And so I think just the consistency in the wind, knowing how much it's going to curve in certain wind directions and stuff like that – it plays really well for me.”

LPGA | KPMG Women's PGA Championship

The winner of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship took home the title gaming a Scotty Cameron Phantom 11R OC tour prototype putter.

She closed in 2-under 70 to win by two and secure her first career major title.
The champion, who played her final three rounds with the Phantom 11R OC after starting the week with a Studio Style Fastback OC, needed only 26 putts in her 8-under 64 on Friday on the way to her fourth LPGA title.
On Sunday, her putter came up big when she needed it most.
Playing the ninth hole tied for the lead, she drained a sizeable putt for birdie from just off the green to go up by one.
She maintained and built on her advantage with clutch makes for birdie on Nos. 10 and 12 before converting a huge momentum-saving par putt on the 16th.
Having previously played a competitive model, the champion made the switch to Scotty Cameron in October 2025 at the BMW Ladies Championship and has gamed the Phantom 11R OC model for nearly every start since.

DP WORLD TOUR | DS Automobiles 83° Open d'Italia

Eugenio Chacarra (Pro V1) made it victories in back-to-back starts on the DP World Tour, winning in Italy in a five-shot runaway three weeks after his win in the Netherlands.

Chacarra played near flawless golf all week, carding four rounds of 66 or better (66-65-65-64) including a bogey-free closing round on Sunday that slammed the door on the chasing pack.
The Spaniard gained +11.16 shots on the field from tee to green (2nd), with +5 shots coming from his approach play (10th) and +3.44 from his play off the tee (8th).
Nobody made fewer bogeys over the week than Chacarra (3 bogeys, T1), who also converted 26 birdies and an eagle.
Matt Wallace (Pro V1x) and Joaquin Niemann (Pro V1x) finished second and third, respectively, as Titleist golf ball players occupied nine of the top 10 positions on the final leaderboard.
A total of 76% of the field in Italy played a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball model.
With the win, the third of his career on the DP World Tour, Chacarra earns an exemption into the 154th Open Championship next month at Royal Birkdale and rises to No. 3 in the Race to Dubai standings.

KORN FERRY TOUR | Memorial Health Championship

Gaming his Pro V1 golf ball, the winner of the Memorial Health Championship went low in Springfield to close out his first career KFT title by one shot.

Having opened the week with an 11-under 60, the champion made a field-best 29 birdies over 72 holes at Panther Creek Country Club.
He gained +4.151 strokes on the field with his approach play (11th) while hitting 81% greens in regulation.
Nine of the top 10 finishers on Sunday’s final leaderboard were gaming a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, along with 81% of the field overall.

PGA TOUR AMERICAS | Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Wichita Open (Crestview Country Club)

Dawson Armstrong (Pro V1) birdied the sixth hole of a three-man, all-Titleist golf ball playoff to claim the victory in Kansas.

Armstrong, who posted rounds of 63-66-71-68 to finish regulation at 12 under par, started Sunday's final round five shots back of the lead.
He played his final nine holes in 2 under par to join the playoff.

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS | DICK'S Open

Dicky Pride (Pro V1) closed in 7-under 65 and made par on the first playoff hole to secure his 2nd PGA TOUR Champions title.

Pride turned in rounds of 63-70-65, matching the three-round total (198) of Titleist golf ball loyalist Padraig Harrington (Pro V1).
The American’s week was highlighted by a first round 9-under 63 that included nine birdies.

KLPGA | Mona Yongpyong Open with SBS Golf

Titleist Brand Ambassador Minsol Kim made birdie on the second playoff hole to win her third KLPGA title of 2026.

Gaming her all-Titleist setup, she gained over eight shots on the field from tee to green (+8.19, 6th) while hitting 81% Greens in Regulation (44/54).
Kim made 18 birdies over three rounds of 70 or lower (65-69-70).
The now five-time KLPGA winner moves to No. 1 on the 2026 money list and remains atop the Rookie of the Year standings.

LET | Tipsport Czech Ladies Open

Noora Komulainen (Pro V1) birdied her final four holes of regulation on Sunday (Nos. 15–18) to force a playoff before securing her first career LET victory with another birdie on the first extra hole.

In the playoff, Komulainen stuck her final approach to 6 feet and rolled in her Pro V1 for the win.
She went bogey-free over 54 holes, shooting rounds of 65-67-65 while making 16 birdies and one eagle.

AMATEUR | Northeast Amateur

Playing his Pro V1x golf ball, the winner of the Northeast Amateur closed in 4-under 65 on Saturday to claim one of the most prestigious titles in amateur golf in a five-shot runaway.

The 18-year-old made eight birdies and one eagle en route to a 9-under 60 in Round 2, setting a new course record before becoming the youngest-ever champion in tournament history.
He was one of 78 players out of the 96-player field (81%) who teed up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for the week.
Titleist was also the most played driver (41%), iron (41%) and wedge (49%).
