Titleist golf ball loyalist Fabian Gomez (Pro V1x) earned his second career PGA Tour title with a birdie on the second hole of a sudden death playoff at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
Gomez closed with a Sunday-best 8-under-par 62 to reach the playoff at 20-under-par 260.
Joining Gomez near the top of the leaderboard, Titleist Brand Ambassador Zac Blair fired a final round 3-under-par 67 to finish solo third, one shot out of the playoff. His third place finish was a career best.

Gomez topped a leaderboard that saw seven of the 12 players who finished among the top 10 and ties rely upon Titleist golf balls for their success.
In addition to Gomez (Pro V1x) and Blair (Pro V1), Titleist golf ball loyalists Kevin Kisner (Pro V1) and Greg Owen (Pro V1x) tied for fifth, Titleist Brand Ambassador Graham DeLaet (Pro V1x) tied for seventh, and Titleist Brand Ambassador Jason Dufner (Pro V1) and Zach Johnson (Pro V1x) tied for ninth.
Kisner, who finished ninth last week at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, extended his lead in the FedExCup standings with another top 10 performance.
THE COUNTS: Titleist was the top choice among the field in golf balls with 91, more than five times the nearest competitor with 16.
Titleist tied as the field favorite in irons with 34. Vokey Design Wedges topped the approach, sand and lob wedge (174) category and Scotty Cameron putters were the top choice in the putter (58) category.
The victory by Gomez marks the fifth win for Titleist golf ball loyalists through the first nine events of the 2015-16 season.
