Taylor, Calcavecchia and Calderon Lead 3-Win Week for Titleist Players

The winning momentum continued around the globe for Titleist this week, as Titleist Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists combined for three more worldwide tour victories.

Titleist golf ball players have now recorded 23 victories across the worldwide professional tours, nearly six times the nearest competitor with 4.

To date this season, the game's finest players have relied on a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball 3,368 times, nearly seven times the nearest competitor with 494 and more than all competitors combined.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Ben Taylor (Pro V1) claimed his first career Web.com Tour title with a win at the Club Colombia Championship.

Taylor extended his four-shot overnight lead to six on the front nine when he posted five birdies in a seven-hole stretch. He closed with a 3-under-par 68 en route to a 15-under-par 269 victory total.

Titleist golf ball loyalists Erik Barnes (Pro V1x), Jason Gore (Pro V1) and Kyoung-Hoon Lee (Pro V1x) were among the four players who tied for 2nd, six shots behind Taylor.

Taylor, who took the lead in the second round, set the nine-year-old tournament’s record for largest margin of victory, breaking Patrick Cantlay’s previous four-stroke mark set in 2013.

 Titleist was the overwhelming most played golf ball at Club Colombia Championship with 105 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than six times the nearest competitor with 16.

Titleist also topped the count in hybrids (22), irons (48) and wedges (188) at the event.

Titleist golf ball players have now won all four events to start the 2018 Web.com Tour season.

Titleist golf ball loyalist Mark Calcavecchia (Pro V1x) completed a wire-to-wire victory at the Boca Raton Championship, closing with a 2-under-par 70 en route to a 16-under-par 200 victory total.

It marked Calcavecchia’s fourth career PGA Tour Champions title and first since 2015 and the first time he has ever gone wire-to-wire on the PGA Tour or PGA Tour Champions.

Calcavecchia started and finished the final round two shots clear of Titleist golf ball loyalist Bernhard Langer (Pro V1).

 Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Boca Raton Championship with 61 players teeing up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than six times the nearest competitor with 9.

Titleist golf ball players have now won each of the first two events to start the 2018 PGA Tour Champions season.

At the Eye of Africa PGA Championship, Titleist golf ball loyalist Matias Calderon (Pro V1x) captured his maiden Sunshine Tour victory by carding a final round 7-under-par 65. Calderon posted a 17-under-par 271 victory total, one shot clear of fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist Combrinck Smit (Pro V1x ), as each of the top five finishers all relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.

Titleist golf ball loyalist Justin Harding (Pro V1x) finished three additional strokes back in solo 3rd, while Keith Horne (Pro V1x) and Toby Tree (Pro V1x) tied for 4th.

 Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Eye of Africa PGA Championship with 118 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than four times the nearest competitor with 27.
