Fitzpatrick and Hend Finish 1-2 at Omega European Masters

This weekend, England’s Matthew Fitzpatrick (Pro V1x) claimed his fourth career European Tour title in dramatic fashion at the Omega European Masters, topping fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist Scott Hend with a par on the third hole of an all-Titleist Pro V1x playoff.

The win in Switzerland marked the third straight season with at least one victory for the 23-year old.

"I'm delighted," Fitzpatrick said. "It's one that I've always wanted to win. I love playing this golf course, from the first ever year I came as an invite in 2014 it's one that has really stood out on my schedule and I always want to come back and play."

Fitzpatrick put himself in position for the playoff following a sizzling final round 6-under-par 64 at Crans-sur Sieree Golf Club, reeling off three successive birdies on holes 14-16 en route to a 14-under-par 266 clubhouse lead.

For Hend, it was the Australian's second playoff in as many years at this tournament, having lost in extra holes last season as well.

Titleist golf ball loyalists Tyrrell Hatton (Pro V1x) and Fabrizio Zanotti (Pro V1) finished three shots further back in a share of third place.

Congratulations, Matthew!
