George Coetzee (Pro V1x, TS2 driver, TS3 fairway metal, 620 CB irons, Vokey Design SM7 wedges) claimed the Titleist Championship by four shots, marking his 11th career Sunshine Tour crown. He has now posted at least one victory in six of the last seven years. Coetzee first played and won a tournament on the Pretoria Country Club course at the age of 10, and has also won two European Tour titles in the 2015 and 2018 Tshwane Opens. Now he adds the Titleist Championship after closing with a 66 en route to a 13-under par 203 victory total.

“It’s a very special victory because Pretoria Country Club and Titleist have supported me my whole career,” Coetzee said. “So to win with both involved this week is truly special … I’m over the moon. It’s nice performing well when people expect it. It’s really nice to have pulled this off on my home course.”

Coetzee’s fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Tristen Strydom (Pro V1x, TS2 driver, TS2 fairway metal, 718 CB irons, Vokey Design SM7 wedges, Scotty Cameron Squareback putter) closed with a 70 for sole second place, his best finish on the Sunshine Tour since winning the Tour’s Qualifying School in March.

Titleist was the top choice in golf balls with 89 players (79%) in the field of 112 trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than four times the nearest competitor with 20.
