It is a Sunday afternoon in the middle of January and every thing is frozen solid here in Michigan. Today is a rare bright sunny day, although it is only 34 degrees F and calm winds. It has been a few weeks since I was able to sneak in a round of golf and the AP2s are calling. What better to do on a day like today then to head on over to the range at MSU to hit a bucket of balls. I am so thankful that they have covered and heated stalls. It really make a day like today a very comfortable day to work on the swing. I really need spring to get here soon, yes I am thoroughly infected with the golf bug, for which there is no cure other then to swing the Titleist. Come on warm front.

Like you! I am under a good 3 feet of snow and ice here. I have to play on my Skytrak indoor simulator that I have at home.
  3. I hear you Jon, cold here in Northwest Ohio also. Your lucky also to have an outdoor range with heated stalls. As long as its 32 degrees and sunny I'm there. Hopefully just a couple more weeks until we can play. Good Luck practicing and you will be ready for spring..

Chiming in from Allentown, PA, and it has been a warmer than normal winter here, but still too cold to get and hit balls. Fortunately my local golf equipment specific store rents time on their simulator. Which is certainly not the same as watching the actual flight of a live ball, but it is better than nothing.

Mild winter season so far in Vermont, minimal snow cover, but no golfing going on here!
Not really into simulators, but you never know!
  7. Get in the car and head down to Atlanta. We got 70's and greens are coming to life! Of course, we will get our snow in April.
  8. Played today in Stamford CT 50+ degrees pins in on greens what a treat. Of course it was a a bit wet and the greens were slow and a little bumpy but hey it's late JANUARY Goes w/o saying Pro V1 works well even when the temps are low. Come on spring!
  9. Had a blast ... play titleist all year long
    Weather permitting.....

Hello Jon V. I feel your pain. But here in South Jersey we have been lucky. After two artic blast in early December, the weather has warmed up a bit. Two weeks of 50 degrees. Was able to get in a few rounds. In the morning the greens are frozen. But by 12:00pm and a little sun, they're not too bad. Spring will be here before you know it. Hang in there!
    Play Well,

We have had temps in the upper 60's and lower 70's for the past 2 weeks. Played last Sunday but it was cart paths only. We can play all year here in Nashville.
  13. I keep a constant look at the weather app on my phone. When it tops 45 degrees, it's time to head to the range. If I can get a few buckets in during each winter month, that just gets me closer to grass come spring. I do admit, it can get depressing watching golf rather than playing golf. But a few range sessions during the winter just heightens my excitement for the season to arrive.

Plus, some time off might actually help my game. It lowers expectations and allows me to reflect on my swing and what I need to work on once I get out to hit.

    Enjoy fellow winter enthusiast!

    Paul
