  1. I recently got iron fitting and suggested KBS Tour 90 with +.25 length, standard grip + 2 wraps and swing weight of D7. If I order iron set through TGW or any authorized dealer, can titleist build AP1 with swing weight of D7?

D7 is pretty high. I would think that it would be very difficult to get there. I know that I have mine at a D4 and that can be a bit tough depending on the shaft and grip weight. Are you really sure that is how you were fit? I don't know how the fitter would be able to get to this swingweight without adding a lot of lead tape to the clubhead.
  3. I would not do anything over D4...most better players seems to prefer D3-D4...I have my set built to D4 and that is plenty ! Yes, if you order through any titleist retailer if you give them a target swing weight they can most likely build a set to that target IMHO.

+.25 is not worthy of D7...that is crazy!

I have Project X 6.0 shafts with +.50 and I build my std grips with 3 wraps and they can easily get to D4...thus, you should be ok.

    Hope that helps!

I have had custom clubs for the last 15 years and I am not sure about getting them through TGW but if you go to a store that has a Titleist fitting bay they can order any thing you want. Just remember that cost can come into it but its worth it in the long run to have clubs built for you.

Hi, We would suggest that you double check that swingweight with your fitter as that is very heavy considering the specs. We cannot get to a D7 with those specs, but could possibly get to a D6 with a heavy head. Your pro would have to note that on the order when it was placed.
  6. Thank you for the replies! D7 number came from the measuring what I tested for on the scale. Club Champion, they have special adapter installed to their head and shaft so they can try any combinations. I would think that maybe adding some numbers to the swingweight... maybe.

However, by doing some research on the internet, D7 seems to be high, I would settle with D3/D4 range. Thanks for the replies!
