    Hey Team Titleist,

Has anyone sent their AP2s back to Titleist to have the lofts strengthened on a set? I was wondering what the charge from Titleist would be and if anyone has seen good results with stronger lofts? Love my 714 AP2s, just wish that I hit them a little further.

No, but I took them to a friend of mine who is a Titleist certified fitter and repairer and he set mine a couple of degrees stronger, which is the recommended maximum. Which worked for a while but I still could not hit my 7 iron 150 yards. Then the 716 AP1s came out and I changed irons. Found that they were stronger and very accurate. Just one opinion. I really like the new AP1s. Oh, I am 70 years of age and now I am hitting that 150 mark with my 7 iron.
  3. I have mine weakened one degree each with success when I played with my 714 AP2's... I have the 716 AP2's now and I left them alone. FWIW

I play Yururi flatbacks, they come a couple of degrees stronger, I find that the combination of stronger lofts and hitting down on the ball to take a divot gives me a lower, penetrating ball flight will longer carry.
