    Hey Team Titleist!

This weekend, local favorite, Titleist Brand Ambassador Cameron Smith (Pro V1x) captured the Australian PGA Championship, with a par on the second hole of a sudden death playoff with fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Jordan Zunic (Pro V1x).

Smith relied on an iron setup that includes a 718 T-MB 3-iron and 718 AP2 4-9 irons, so we went to our Titleist Tour Reps to see how he decided on this setup. They shared the following with us:

"Smith recently switched to the 718 AP2 irons (4-9), from a full set of 718 T-MB irons after the Dell Technologies Championship (TPC Boston). He loved the look and feel of the 718 T-MB but after a few events with them felt he needed to reign in his distance on shots into the green, noticing his shots were consistent but carrying further than he preferred. He did decide to keep the 718 T-MB 3-iron in the bag, feeling confident in the extra distance it provided and how well it helped his gapping into his 917 F2 3-wood."

Experiences like Cameron's reminded me how important is to experience a Titleist golf club fitting, to ensure the optimal setup for your game. As you get ready for 2018, fine tune your setup with a golf club fitting near you and play well!

    All the best,

Abby, do we know what shafts he was using? I was watching and it looked like he might have Tensei graphite in all the irons? Anyway, i have been watching him for a while and I think he's going to be out there playing for a while. Pretty solid.

Cameron Smith uses the KBS S Taper 125 S+ shafts in his irons. I believe they are in a onyx finish.
  4. I’m sure they’re superb, but I’m still playing my 690s due to finish financial difficulties.
