I was playing in my club championship this year and 3 of the 4 guys had yellow golf balls in my group. I started playing a yellow golf ball about 6 years ago and always knew which ball was mine when we got to the green but now they are getting a lot more popular. I play 13 titleist clubs and my favorite golf ball is the NXT Tour followed by the ProV1X. Unfortunately Ive had to play srxn and swoosh golf balls to get a lower spinning ball in Yellow. Are there other people like me who would love to see Titleist add some yellow to their lineup? I would switch immediately and I know others at my course who have said the same thing.

  2. I think a yellow ball would be great in the ProV1 however I prefer white. If I feel the necessity for a yellow ball, the NXT is a great option and spins plenty for me...I have used it in a variety of tournaments with plenty of success.
  3. I agree with Chris, I'm preferential to the white, but the NXT Tour in yellow is a solid option. I use the white version on occasion depending on the whether.

Love the yellow; it is so much easier for me to follow in flight and find in the all too frequent rough!

Have you tried the NXT Tour S it comes in yellow and it is a pretty good gamer. Just a thought I play them from time to time very similar to a ProV1 and that way you are still holding true to the brand.

I've never tried the NXT Tour S and am not a big fan of the ProV1. I prefer a lower spinning ball to get more distance and less back spin on the greens. I'd rather have my ball go forward 5 feet on the green than spin back. I've never had a problem stopping the ball on the green. I think I will take your advice though and buy a sleeve of the Tour S in yellow to see how much different they would be compared to my current ball.

I also hit yellow balls and have waited years for Titleist to produce a yellow pro v1 but that doesn't seem to be in the cards. I just received the new Pro V1 test balls and compared them to the yellow Chrome Soft which I'm currently playing due to the lack of a pro v in yellow and they seem to perform almost identical from 100yds and in. I played the NXT Tour S for years but it's not the same as a pro v1 or a Chrome Soft. I've also played the Dt Trusoft and it's a good ball as well but again not a pro v or Chrome Soft. As a longtime Titleist guy I've been forced to use the Chrome Soft as I prefer the yellow for visibility reasons and continue to wait patiently for a Yellow Pro V1.

    heanor,

It's my choice of ball, great all rounder, easy to find and lovely soft feel off the face!

I play the NXT Tour S in yellow. Would prefer to play ProV but not available in yellow. Have tried Chrome Soft but just not that much different from NXT Tour S. Titleist is really missing the boat on this one. I know many golfers that play other brands in yellow but would switch in a heartbeat if Titleist came out with a ProV in yellow. Don't know what the issue is, seems Titleist is more concerned with their IPO pricing than they are with running the company.
