  1. Steve and I just got back from our PEI vacation. We went with friends and played 6 of 7 days. Courses were Anderson's Creek, Green Gables, Mill River, Crowbush Cove and Glasgow Hills (x2) Our favourite was Glasgow Hills. It was neat playing Mill River and trying to match the scenes from the old Big Break PEI. For anyone who hasn't been to PEI, I'd say GO....it's a must see/play. Courses, people and scenery is awesome. Most of the photos taken are on my phone but I did remember to take a few with the camera.....

Wendy - wow! Looks fantastic! It sounds like you had a great time. Was the Green Gables Course in the same area of PEI in which the book is set? I bet the seafood was wonderful too -- if you enjoy seafood that is.

I often find myself thinking that I really need to put together a "Canadian Bucket list" of golf courses to play. I hear about golf in PEI, Ontario and Nova Scotia that are just wonderful experiences -- and made all the better when you get to share the experience with you friends and family! Thanks for sharing Wendy!

Very nice Wendy... Looks like you got fortunate with the weather as well !
Thanks for sharing the pictures. I trust that you and your husband got out and enjoyed some of the local restaurants as well. The food was always top notch in the smaller towns Vita and I visited.
You will be able to re-live those good times when old man winter hits us here in Ontario.

  4. All of the courses on the Island are marvelous. Brudenell and Green Gables are my favourites, but I can't say that I have disliked any course I have played there.
  5. Dino- yes Green Gables is set in the area of where the book was written. Funny though, we never had time to tour the house, etc. Too much to do in the week so we never got around to it....next time we'll be sure to go.

And yes we had seafood. Yum! We went to the North Rustico Lobster dinner. Another 'must do' if on PEI.

When we were playing Green Gables (Fri Sept 9th) I saw another player with a Team Titleist lanyard. Unfortunately I was unable to go and say hello as our group was heading to the 10th tee and the young man was jumping into the starter's cart to be taken out to join his playing partners. (I think he's arrived late) Sorry I wasn't able to go over to chat.

I'm already starting to plan our next PEI vacation.....still need to play more courses. :)
