I am wondering if Titleist will ever go to a magnetized vice velcro putter head cover. After a while the velcro wears out and doesn't stay on the putter very well.

I have both styles and prefer the Velcro. The Titleist Velcro fit the SC putters more securely. I have more that one SC head cover and rotate them.

Yea but they don't last long with the Velcro. I'm very meticulous with my covers and durability of the magnetized head cover would help. I notice NO sliding whatsoever with my maganatized cover.

I've lost so many Cameron putter covers. Many have been collector's items and it just kills me! I would love to see a complete redesign and make them magnetic or pull over or something. Maybe like the 916 hybrid covers. Thousands of dollars in gorgeous Cameron collection head covers have flown off my putters over the years.

I bought customer Scotty head cover last year. Almost lost it this year when the Velcro failed at it fell off luckily the group following us knew me or it would have been gone. This winter I plan to sew magnets into it myself.
  6. I've never had any issues with the Velcro wearing out - granted I have multiple covers that I rotate. I would however prefer the magnets to keep from getting brush marks when sliding the club in and out.

+1 Strang. Would rather have magnet so clubhead does not get brush marks. I know, sounds trivial to most. However, when you are dealing with $3k+ puters, you want pristine conditions for maintaining them to a new look..... OTR's I have lees worry in....
  8. I love my Scotty Newport 2.5 ; but...... the Velcro gets old on the headcover and won't stick. I've lost it many times but the guys on the Charlotte Senior Amateur Tour are really super about giving them back to their rightful owners. What's really embarrassing is going back a group to try and retrieve your Scotty headcover..especially more than one time per round..! I like the idea of having several and rotating them,,,until a better system comes about.

This is a vexing problem...does anyone know of a way to replace or refurbish the Velcro?
