We have heard more and more Titleist Brand Fans heading over to Ireland or Scotland on Golf Trips.  It seems as though there is a nice little debate between folks as to which is a better golf destination to visit. We would like to hear from you!

Have you been on a golf trip to either destination?
    What courses did you play?
Why did you choose the one destination over the other (Ireland/Scotland)?

Perhaps some folks have been to both and can really add to this great debate!

We look forward to hearing from you.

I have not been to Ireland yet, and I hear it is as stunning as going to Scotland however my trip was to Scotland in the spring of 2011. It was probably one of the greatest retirement gifts ever ! Scotland was the choice of locations as it is after all the home of golf and the R&A.

My trip included stays at a couple of B&B's as well as a week at the Carnoustie hotel.

I was very fortunate to play at a large list of courses that put a really big dent into my bucket list !

Muirfield; North Berwick; Arbroath; all three courses at Carnoustie; Kingsbarnes; St. Andrews Jubilee; and of course - The Old Course itself where I shot a cool 87 (with 47 putts). Those greens are HUGE and I just could not figure out the speed and the breaks.

It was an awesome trip which included some heavy fog, a day of rain, and some windy conditions at the Championship Course that brought all of us to our knees that day. During most of the trip we had awesome weather - cool but sunny. When the golf was finished, my wife and I spent three days in Edinborough on the Royal Mile where we roamed the streets and wandered through the castle in between visiting a variety of local pubs.

Definitely a trip of a lifetime. Looking forward to hearing what others have to say !

    Great topic Mitch,

I was fortunate enough to be selected to play football (American) over in Dublin, Ireland and represent Canada. This was a ways back now. It was the best place that I have ever visited. I wasn't able to play golf over there but I wish I could have. I have never seen courses as beautiful as over there.  Just landing at the airport and seeing how green everything is was truly magnificent. It was like a paradise. I would like to one day go back and take advantage of some great golfing.

    Cheers Shawn

    Hi Mitch,

Going to the U.K. In July of this year. Planning on getting a few rounds in Scotland,Ireland and England. Will be playing where Rory started playing @Holywood Golf Club. This is my first trip across the pond. While there I will be catching the 2nd round of the British Open. Can't wait, should be an exciting trip.

    Bragg Creek,

I was fortunate enough to take a trip to Scotland in April of 2013. It was a Father & Son tournament at, and around, St. Andrews. Wow, where to start? This is my favourite topic and I could go on forever.

We played the New Course (twice), the Jubilee, Kingsbarns, the Championship Course at Carnoustie and The Old Course (three times!). What an unbelievable trip. I can now say that there is no better feeling in golf than making a par at the Road Hole. We split our stay between the Rusacs Hotel (on the 18th at the Old) and the Old Course Hotel (the one you hit over on 17). The golf, the caddies, the pubs and all the history make St. Andrews the best golf destination on the planet for a golf nut. You have to go there at least once. But if yo're anything like me, you'll get hooked and work to get back there as soon as you can!

Maybe it's just me, but standing on the first tee at the Old made me more nervous than I'd ever been on a golf course. What a rush to be there and experience it!
