Already the paint numbering on the heads is starting to fade/wear away.
Anyone else having this problem? The clubs were purchased through a titleist rep. Thanks.

Re: AP2 712 Irons - paint numbers fading...

Mitch, I have a Newport 2 putter that I sent to the Custom Shop to be customized in the winter of 2010/11. The painfill (black) in one of the cirlces on the back of the putter is chipping out. Can I send this to the Titleist Canada (through an authorized Titleist Rep) to be refilled?

I found it odd that the paint fill had fallen out. As for cleaning I just use warm water and scrub them down with a cloth. I only use a brush on the face of the club to remove dirt and grass. My clubs are always stored inside with me after every round. I try to keep my clubs in prestine condition as this was a big investment for me. What's the time frame and cost if I were to ship the couple clubs to you guys?

Re: AP2 712 Irons - paint numbers fading...

Hi Shawn P,

A similar answer, however, it is very odd that the paint fill is coming out of the "Forged Label" given how high up on the club head it is. It should not be exposed to very much friction at impact. Our only thought, could be the method or solution used to clean your golf clubs and/or their exposure to moisture for an extended period of time.

Again, this is not an issue but can happen from time to time and does not effect the performance of the golf club in any way.

We're happy to touch up the paint if you'd like to send it in.

Regards,

This is not an issue but can happen from time to time especially if hit off of range mat which often have sand and debris in them.

Of course, this does not effect the performance of the golf club in any way. We're happy to touch up the paint if you'd like to send it in.

I have the 710 AP2's and they have a good 10-15 rounds on them since I got them at end of last year. Except my paint fill from the word FORGED on a couple of my clubs is falling out. Also was purchased from an official Titleist dealer. Any insight into this problem would be extremely helpful as these aren't cheap irons.

Thanks Shawn
