Triplett Rallies to Win American Family Insurance Championship

Titleist golf ball loyalist Kirk Triplett (Pro V1x) closed with a Sunday-best 65 to come from behind and capture the inaugural American Family Insurance Championship by two shots over fellow Titleist golf ball loyalists Michael Goodes (Pro V1x) and Bart Bryant (Pro V1x).

Coming down the stretch, Triplett reeled off four consecutive birdies on the 13th, 14th 15th and 16th holes and closed with a pair of pars to complete a final round of 7-under-par 65 and cap off a 17-under-par 199 victory total.

The win marks his fifth career PGA TOUR Champions title.

Rounding out the leaderboard, four players - Billy Andrade (Pro V1), Jean-Francois Remesy (Pro V1x), Gene Sauers (Pro V1) and Fran Quinn (Pro V1x) - tied for fourth place, as each of the top seven finishers all relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.

In fact, Triplett topped a leaderboard that featured nine Titleist golf ball loyalists among the top 10 finishers.

TITLEIST BY THE NUMBERS: Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball at the event with 59 players in the field trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success. That’s more than six times the nearest competitor with 9.

The win was the 12th for Titleist golf ball loyalists through the first 13 events of the season.
